A/N: This is an AU story that takes place after the first movie. Remy is about 19 in this story and I've kept some of the things that happened to him in the past, but not everything. My X-men knowledge comes from the movies and what I've learned from researching for this story, so the character's might be OOC.
I've warned for rape and this happens in the past so there's only talk about rape of a minor, no detailed rape. As the story progress and you fell a warning tag is missing, tell me and I will fix it as soon as possible.
The story is finished, but I have to retype it after my editing, still I hope to update once a week. I hope you will like this story and leave a rating or review if you have the time.

Remy was running as fast as he could. He was running for his life and it was not an easy job with his injures. His right shoulder felt dislocated and he was bleeding from his temple on the left side; he also had a cut on his left cheek. He was ragged looking from living on the streets for more than a year now. He had not had a shower in at least two weeks and he smelled something awful.

As he was running, Remy could not help but feel stupid and berate himself for how he had gotten into this situation. He did not know how he could have been so stupid to pick up that man from the crowd. The man was way past half feral and he should have noticed that! He had seemed normal at first, but when they started talking Remy knew something wrong. He knew this from years of experience, so why had he not listened to his gut feeling? He knew he had to get away as soon as possible, because he knew that this man was not going to give him a happy ending; which to Remy meant being left alive. Remy did not even know his name and he did not know Remy's, yet Remy was now being hunted like a deer during hunting season.

The man was chasing after him, always keeping him in sight but never quite catching him. It had occurred to Remy that he was being herded around the city, that the man was teasing both himself and Remy. He would let Remy think he had gotten away, when he really had not.

Remy came to an intersection and looked to his right and left, trying to decide which way he would go. He knew he did not have much time before the man would catch up with him. Looking ahead, Remy saw an elderly man in a wheelchair accompanied by a burly man. He could not possibly lead the feral man towards those two; therefore Remy took a quick decision and ran to his left. Remy really hoped that the feral would get to the intersection before the man in the wheelchair and the big man did.

It was too late to run back where he came from, when Remy noticed his mistake. He had been here before, just a week ago in fact, and he knew that this place ended in a dead end. It was not going to lead anywhere, unless there was a car in the alley way. If there was, Remy could possibly be able to jump over the wall and into the another dead end, which would mean he could get away from this awful man.

Remy span around the last corner and cursed his bad luck; there was no car in the alley way. He had no way to get out of the shitty situation he now found himself in. Looking around, Remy saw nothing but garbage bins and locked door. Some of the doors had padlocks, which did not surprise Remy in the least; a lot of homeless people would spend their time here and people who were homeless would do a lot for some quick cash. This did not stop him from cursing the people who lived here, however.

When Remy heard footsteps behind him, he quickly hid behind some large garbage bins. He crunched down low, hoping he was entirely hidden from view.

«Here, kitty, kitty. Come out, come out, wherever you are,» a taunting voice said, the voice of the horrid man, «I don't have time for games, kitty. Come out now, and I won't hurt you… at least not too much. Boss man wants you alive.»

Remy shuddered at what the man said, especially the two words `boss man'. It meant that the feral was hired to find him, that someone wanted him enough to hire a feral man. It scared Remy beyond belief. No matter what, Remy knew that he would not be going anywhere with this man out of his own free will, not even if his life depended on it. Remy tried to shrink further into the shadows, still hoping that the feral could not see him and would leave him alone.

«There's really no use hiding, boy. I can smell you, all fearful and delicious. I can't wait to have a piece of you, when the boss lets me of course. Going to play with you, kitty. Tear you apart.»

Remy knew it was only moments until the man would be right next to him; seeing him no matter how far into the shadow he was hiding. Remy prayed a silent prayer, whilst he carefully withdrew a card from one of his many pockets in his trench coat. It was his last card; the others had been used trying to get the energy inside of him released. As carefully as he could, Remy focused all of his attention on the card and could not help but smile sadly as it started to glow a bright fuchsia. Remy only had on opportunity to make this work, and that was if he timed it precisely so that he would hopefully blind the man that was hunting him.

Remy listened intently as the man moved closer to where he was hiding, Any second now and Remy would spring into action, throwing his charged card at his hunter. Hearing the man take another step, Remy took a deep breath and mustered all of his strength. Seconds seemed to drag into minutes. Just one more step now and the man would be in place.

Then something happened, that Remy had not predicted. That last step never came. Instead Remy saw the feral man, who had been chasing him, flying through the air and into the brick wall. Remy gasped and accidentally dropped the charged card on the ground. Cursing loudly in cajun french, Remy jumped to his feet and away from the dumpster and ran away from the man and the card. He had only taken a few steps when he stopped in shock, seeing the elderly man in the wheelchair and the man that accompanied him. Seeing the younger man of the two walk towards him, Remy opened his mouth to warn him to stay back, but before he could he was thrown into the wall opposite where he had been hiding by the explosion he knew was coming.

Logan was standing outside a building, chewing on his cigar and trying not to look too intimidating. By the looks he got from the people who walked past him, he was not entirely successful at it. An elderly lady had taken one glance at him when she rounded the corner, and though it was obvious that she was coming his way she walked to the opposite sidewalk. The same woman was clutching her handbag so tightly, like she was expecting Logan to run across the insanely busy streets and steal it from her. Logan was many things, but suicidal was not one of them; at least not anymore.

Glancing down at his watch, a present from Rogue for Christmas, he sighed. It had been well past half an hour since Professor Charles Xavier had entered the building. Logan did not entirely understand why he was there at all; he was not good at talking and if he wanted something done, he didn't go about it in a subtle way like the Professor often did.

The Professor had wanted Logan with him because he thought there might be some trouble with this particular teenager. Logan had rolled his eyes at that; all teenagers were trouble just waiting to happen in his opinion. All with the exception of Rogue, most days anyway.

Looking up at the sky, Logan took a deep breath of air, mostly just smoke coming off the cigar. He was going to wait for another five minutes, then he would go in and check that everything was alright with the Professor. As it were he did not have to, because not one minute later Professor Xavier rolled his wheelchair outside and into the glaring sunlight. When Logan saw that the Professor was alone, he knew that Professor Xavier had not been successful in his mission.

«No luck, then?» asked Logan gruffly.

«I'm afraid not, Logan. His parents were not quite as understanding as I had hoped for them to be and the boy seemed to be terrified of his father. It was obvious that he did not wish to defy his father. I left the school's contact information with them, however. Incase they change their minds.»

«You could've just made the boy come with you.»

Professor Xavier nodded, «I could have, but it would not be right. As you very well know, Logan.»

They started walking back to where they had parked the car, Logan keeping his pace to that of Professor Xavier's wheelchair. Even though they had not been able to convince the kid to come to the school, Logan had enjoyed his time away from the mansion. It got very crowded there, and often very quickly. Professor Xavier had given Logan permission to build a small hut at the end of the estate; just so that he had a place to retreat to should he need it.

The Professor was talking about something, but Logan was not listening to him at all. Instead his attention was on someone running down the street at full speed, coming towards them. The person, a young boy it seemed, was holding his shoulder tightly and kept looking over his shoulder. The boy stopped for a moment, before tearing down the streets to the right and that's when Logan saw the other person. Sabertooth.

Logan could not help the growl that slipped past his lips and he cigar was lying on the ground before he knew it. Professor Xavier looked at him questioningly but Logan said nothing. He quickly followed Sabertooth and the young boy into what turned out to be dead end. Briefly Logan wondered what the kid had done to get Sabertooth on his back, probably nothing good but Logan was not one to judge and it did not mean the kid deserved what Sabertooth might do to him.

Quietly turning the corner, Logan saw Sabertooth walking towards the brick wall. He could not see the kid anywhere, and he guessed that the kid had hidden somewhere in the alley. Not giving it much thought, Logan ran full speed forward and threw himself at Sabertooth; he only got the upper hand because of the element of surprise.

Logan got a good grip on Sabertooth's arm and threw him as far as he could towards the brick wall, hoping against hope that Sabertooth would go straight through and not get up again.

The kid suddenly sprang from behind one of the dustbins and he stopped, staring at Logan and the Professor with shock written on his face. Logan took a step closer to the kid, who could not possibly be any older than Rogue. There was a sudden explosion and Logan watched as the kid flew through the air and crashed into the opposite wall from where he had been hiding.

«Are you alright, Logan?» asked Professor Xavier, as the dust and debris cleared from the alley.

«Yeah, I'm fine,» said Logan, walking over to where the kid laid unconscious on the ground, «Can't say the same about the kid though. What the hell caused that explosion, anyway?»

Professor Xavier wheeled himself over to where Logan stood, «I think that this young boy was the cause of the explosion. It seems our trip was not all in vain after all, Logan. Can you carry him until we get to the car?»

Logan nodded, «Sure can.»

«I will call Hank when we arrive at the car, and tell him we are bringing him a new patient,» said Professor Xavier, leading the way from the alley, «I do not think we should linger here for long, Logan. Someone will have heard that explosion and I do not want too much unwanted attention today.»

Logan followed the Professor with the kid lying limp in his arms, «Going to need some fattening up this one, Chuck, he's nothing but skin and bones.»
