bastards.Synopsis: In an alternate universe, the students of Xavier
High must band together with an unlikely ally to liberate mutantkind.AU notes: The AU this story is set in has a lot of small
changes and one big one—Wolverine is now female. I like to gender-swap, so sue me. The universe is an amalgamation of X-Men: Evolution, Ultimate X-Men (comic)
and a hint of movieverse. Characters are
between 15 and 18 unless they’re indicated as adults. Sabretooth is about 23-24, masquerading as a
high school student for the time being.
Everything else will become clear as the story progresses…if it’s not,

you were wondering…yes, in this universe, Charles Xavier is completely and

“I am, Jean. I
am. But unfortunately, Scott made his
choice. I can’t help it if that choice
was to dump you.” Jean tried not to cry
this time, but she always did. The hot
tears spilled down her face in front of everyone.“Check out Jean—she’s cryin’, dude.”
“Dude.” Jean tried to
block out the whispers of the other students, but with her telepathy it was
impossible. She could feel their stares
burning into her, but they didn’t hurt as much as Betsy’s thin smile.“I hope this won’t change our friendship, Jean, really. I’m still your best friend, right?” Jean looked at her, blinking. She had never hated anyone as much as she
hated Betsy at that moment. The other girl
raised an eyebrow. “I guess I’m
not. Well, if you want honesty…Scott was
worth it.” She laughed in Jean’s face. Jean raised her eyes to Betsy’s, willing her
voice not to tremble.“Whatever. He wasn’t
even man enough to break up with me himself!”
Betsy laughed again.“You can’t blame him, Jean.
You do come off as a frigid ice-princess most of the time. Too perfect for the rest of us.”“But not good enough for Scott.”
