Unexpected Poster
Kitty groaned as she pulled herself up from her seat, panting softly as she paused where she stood. She felt dizzy every time she would stand from sitting for so long.
Hitting six months gestation she was starting to show nicely through her cute little pink frilly shirt. Her hand was upon her stomach as the dizziness faded away.
"First you make me hungry for sour cream and strawberries...then you kick me when you realize that's a nasty combination and now you step on my bladder and make me have to pee like Niagara Falls." She grumbled as she wobbled towards the bathroom.
Kurt lay on his back on the bed, one hand behind his head, smiling as Kitty complained her way into the bathroom.
"Laugh it up." She said out loud with out looking at Kurt. She could feel his eyes on her. They always were when she went into complain mode. He just enjoyed the sight. The door was shut softly, followed by a moment of silence. Then the toilet flushed and the sink was turned on momentarily then turned off. The door opened again and Kitty moved out with a long out drawn sigh.
Kurt laughed and held his hand out to her for her to come to him.
"Aw it'll be over soon."
She moved over and took his hand in hers. "I'm scared..." She whispered softly as he helped her to crawl onto the bed. She laid herself down with a groan and then nuzzled up to him.
"It'll be okay Katzen. I'll be there with you. Everything will be fine." He said putting his arm around her and kissing her head.
"Do you promise?" She asked. "You'll be there with me the whole time?"
Kurt laughed and nodded. "I wouldn't think of leaving."
"You're so sweet." She smiled and closed her eyes. Her stomach made a deep growl, causing her to blush. "Not again...
"You want to go shopping today?" Kurt asked. "We could pick out some stuff for the baby."
"Oh really? That'll be so fun!" She giggled happily then groaned with her stomach. "After some mint chip ice cream." She added as the craving suddenly announced itself.
Kurt laughed. "We'll pick some up on the way." He said getting off the bed and helping her up. He made his way to his closet and got dressed. "You think Scott would lend me his car?"
"After what Logan did to his motorcycle? I really don't think so..." She replied as she ran her hand over her stomach.
Kurt laughed. "I'm not Logan." He said. "We'll go ask him." He said taking her hand and going towards the door.
She breathed out slowly and gripped his hand. "Alright...if you say so." She replied as she leaned against him. "By the way, mom is throwing a baby shower for us in a month."
"At their place?" He asked making his way down the hall and down the stairs.
"Mmhm. My Grandparents are coming." She replied as she started stepping down the stairs, catching some stares from the students.
"Oh.... great." Kurt said not sounding all the enthused.
"On my mom's side."She giggled and patted him. "I doubt my dads side will even show, they never do."
"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. And it doesn't make me any less nervous." He said with a nervous laugh. They entered the garage and he looked around to see if Scott was there. Luckily he was. He moved over to Scott with a smile.
"Hi Scott." He said. Scott looked over at Kurt and nodded his head but didn't return his smile. "Um.... do you mind if I borrow one of your cars?" He asked. "Mine is still being repaired and I want to take Kitty shopping."
"Holy crap what did Logan do to it!?" Kitty cried as she stood next to what was left of Scott's motorcycle. "Did he drive into a wall or something?"
Scott rolled his eyes and tossed Kurt his keys. "Just be careful with it okay?" Kurt nodded as he turned on his image inducer.
Kitty hopped over to him and gave him a hard kiss briefly. "I love you~" She said in a cute voice and smiled. Why she suddenly had then urge to do that? She didn't know.
"I hate it when you do that." He said annoyed moving towards the car.
She stopped and stared at him in confusion. That wasn't the typical reaction he usually gave. "What?" she replied in a slightly threatened tone.
"You get suddenly.... gitty when ever I put my inducer on. It's almost like you.... want me to be normal instead of who I am."
"I'm sorry...I don't mean to... I like you the blue." She replied in a low tone.
Kurt didn't say anything as he helped opened her door for her.
She sighed and got into the car.
Kurt got into the passangers seat. "Where do you wanna go first?" He asked.
"I don't know..." She replied with a small shrug then her stomach growled again. "Mmh..."
"Are you okay?" He asked concerned.
"Yeah...just hungry again." She replied as she rubbed her her stomach.
Kurt laughed slightly. "You want to go get icecream first?"
"Yes." She replied while nodding and leaned back in her seat.
They drove to the icecream place in silence. Once they arived Kitty ordered her Mint Chocolate chip icecream while Kurt ordered a scoop of rainbow, a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of tiger tiger icecream.
Kitty laughed. "You know with the way you eat people will start to think you're the pregnant one."
Kurt laughed. "What do you think?" He asked pushing out his stomache as far as it would go. "You think this would be a good look for me?" He asked as his stomache now showed through his shirt.
She giggled hysterically as she licked the mint icecream from the cone. "It's a perfect look for you."
He looked down at his stomache as if contemplating. "I think the only way I'd get this look is if I started eating more.... and even then I don't think I'd get it cause you know how much I eat.... and it's not even healthy food either."
"You have a stomach of steel, lucky bastard." She replied and giggled again and licked her icecream.
"I am BATMAN!" Kurt laughed and made a pose. "Oh wait.... no that's Superman.... ugh I hate Superman....."
Kitty wrinkled her nose and nodded in agreement.
Kurt put his icecream on a near by table and put his hands on his hips, lowering his voice in a mock staleto as he spoke. "I am Superman... Nothing can stop me! Nothing can get in my way.... Nothing can defeat me! Unless you have this green rock in which case I'm screwed!"
Kitty nearly choked on her icecream as he preformed his impersonation. "Oh my god that's sexy..." She whispered so the staff wouldn't hear her.
Kurt laughed. "Of course it is. Everything I do is sexy." Kurt said a little too loud as they headed out of the icecream shop.
"Shh!" She giggled and leaned against him softly as they left the shop.
Kurt laughed and lead her out of the shop. They both turned the corner and Kitty paused.
"Hey, what's this?" She asked. Kurt looked over to the small flyer type poster taped to a telephone poll. Kurt walked up to it and looked at the poster his eyes nearly bugging out of his head.
There was a roughed up poster with the bottom half torn off. It read:
"Returning for a short time only, Berlin Circus"
Kitty blinked as she finished reading it then looked to Kurt. "Honey? Are you alright?"
Kurt looked at the poster. He knew the man balancing on the wire. His name was Wulfgang DeMazepa.
The bottom of the poster was ripped off. "Almost a full year and they are still using old posters." He said shaking his head.
"Do you know them?" She asked in a soft tone as a few people wandered by them.
Kurt threw his empty icecream container in a nearby garbage. "Yeah.... I know em." He said sticking his hands in his pockets and continuing down the sidewalk.
She threw her ice cream into the trash can quickly and practically ran to catch up with him. "Tell me more?" She asked as she hooked her arm around his.
He shrugged and stayed quite for many moments before he spoke. "It was the circus I grew up in. It's my family."
Kitty would have thought he'd by happy that he'd be seeing his family again. But the look in his eyes.... he looked almost..... sad.
She frowned as they continued down the side walk. "Oh...alright..." She didn't know how to respond to him nor what to do to make him feel better.
Kurt's mood did a sudden one eighty as he turned to her with a wide grin. "So.... where do you want to go first?'
She blinked, taking a step back in shock at his mood swing. "Oh umm...clothes? I guess...?"
"Sounds good." He said. "We'll keep to the cheap stuff like clothes and what not for now until we can get some money in our pockets."
"Ok!" She smiled warmly and cuddled up to him then hunched slightly when her stomach gave a turn.
Kurt put his hands on her shoulders. "Are you okay?"
"Just the woes of being pregnant. I'll be fine." She replied still with a warm smile.
Hitting six months gestation she was starting to show nicely through her cute little pink frilly shirt. Her hand was upon her stomach as the dizziness faded away.
