Another No Sex chapter. I wanted to write today but not in a mood for anything other than just writing. The ending scece cmes from one of my first fan fiction stories. It isn't good I don't think I was a novice then on what people wanted in a story, but I thought the Epilouge I wrote was good, so I pulled part of it over for this.

Blink wants someone to come back. Being alone and trying to cope with what she has done is driving her to distraction. It isn't that she thinks it wasn't right, Polaris had gone to far in her mind. The problem is until Blink had affected events, she had convinced herself nothing happening was real. In some cases it was this thought alone which allowed her to continue watching what she saw.
With this revelation she is noticeably shaken up. Every bubble that comes her way is brushed off. Sometimes they hang around just long enough for her to hear sounds from them. Some are sexual, a couple are crowd reactions, even a child crying comes from one. The last one tempted her a bit to see what was happening, but fear of her making a mistake that could hurt a child causes her to push the bubble away.
She senses a presence, not having to look up, knowing it is him again. Something in Blink made it so that she felt a link to the Inbetweener, presumably something that stayed with her during her control of the world.
"You have expanded your abilities again" he says walking over to where she is sitting. He stands next to her a moment before summoning a chair for himself and sitting next to her. The Inbetweener wants Blink to be calm, knowing what she can do to the world if she looses control. "I see you haven't been watching things, did it startle you that much that you had that power?"
Blinks looks over at him, unable to look him in the eyes before looking back. She sighs and gives a light shrug. She still is upset with herself, for both doing the act and not believing it was real. She thought he had just been showing her things to keep her entertained.
Blink's silence pushes the Inbetweener to continue, "If it makes any difference, Both of them are unharmed. Polaris was able to get out of the place before Wolfsbane recovered. She is investigating how that event happened, which if she follows it should prove interesting. Even if she does find that this world is responsible anyone who might help her will warn her against coming here."
Blink looks over hearing him "and what if she decides to come here?"
The Inbetweener shrugs, "Then you will deal with her. There have been times where some have taken issue with what I have done and some of them do make their way here. Depending on their mindset these meetings can be constructive or destructive. I will not allow harm to come to this world and defend it as much as I can. I will only say this, if Polaris comes here, there is no metal in this world so it will be her and you. Her powers mean nothing here."
Blink sighs "Do you think she might make it?"
The Inbetweener thinks. "If I had to take a bet I would say yes. She has the determination and since she is in an X-Men related group she has the resources. I will keep an eye on her, though I suggest you not worry about her until she does arrive, if she does. Also, if she comes, meet with her as soon as she arrives. The longer she hunts you down here, the worse she will get.
Blink listens. There are always ramifications, though she now has to worry about what could happen if Polaris comes looking for her. After a moment she looks at the Inbetweener "how much more can I learn?"
"You have the potential to learn everything I know. Though I have been here since time began, so it could take days or eons for you to reach that level of potential. While you have been developing well, know this. Watching is hard, as you have learned. You had that problem when you arrived and took over this world. You learned, the hard way, that there are some things that cannot be changed. That believe it or not is the easy part. The hard part, is knowing that you shouldn't ever change anything."
"Wolfsbane for example. The problem with the link between her and Havok, will work itself out eventually. What Polaris did, if she wouldn't have been caught, would've driven Wolfsbane away from the group and to someone who could help her. She still will find them, though maybe not as fast as she would've before. Havok will learn of Polaris' actions and they will split apart for a time. Not much else comes out of that though."
Blink listens and finally speaks up. "Does it ever get easier, not acting?" the Inbetweener shakes his head. "I almost never have felt it, though sometimes people do learn I am watching and plead to me to step in. While many times I am able to ignore it, sometimes things happen that can make me feel sorry for them. Fortunately that hasn't happened in a long time."
Blink stares forward. A bubble is sitting a few yards in front of her and she is trying to fight looking at it. It moves slowly to her and when she looks in she sees a lone person on a hill. He is sitting against a tree, a gravestone by him. Blink can almost hear him, apparently talking to whomever had died. She wonders how long he has been there, not expecting any response, just unable to move on.
"People like him, He lost someone he considered a child. She died while they were protecting someone and while he killed her killer, he feels that he let her down and now can't bring himself to leave her grave behind. He will stay there for the rest of his life, though he will also help others who live by him and be thought of as a sad, but gentle giant."
Blink tries to listen to him, picking up the word pup a couple times, probably a pet name for her. As the sun sets Blink can almost see the outline of a ghost, who's head is leaning against him. She wants to help him see her, but the more she wants to the more she wonders what would happen to him. He only ever leaves because she isn't there. If she were to appear he might never leave, becoming an outcast. Giving it a small wave off the bubble moves on.
"It doesn't seem right, but sometimes they aren't supposed to be." With that the Inbetweener and the chair vanish. Blink is alone again in the world.
