Ballare

"KURT!" Kitty's cry of passion broke through the air filtering through the wall and into the room next door.

"I'm going to kill him. I'm going to kill the damn blue monkey!" Roger got off the bed but Mary pulled him back down.

"Roger you leave her alone." She said sternly.

"You expect me to sit around in here while that ...that THING is abusing our daughter!?" He roared as he stalked towards the door. "I'll have his head on a pike for this!"

"Roger. You will come to bed and go to sleep. It is her life, she has made her dissision."

"She is too young!" He said angrily.

"Just as I was too young?" She asked. "As I recall I was Kitty's age when I had her. And how old where you Roger?" She asked.

He fell silent, knowing he was a fresh 23 years young when he had met his wife. Six months pregnant and had just been dumped by the man who had impregnated her. "That's different..." He muttered. "We were young and stupid but we can save Kitty from that."

"Yes... we where young.... and stupid.... but did we ever regret having Kitty?" She asked. "From what I've seen of Kurt he is a very nice young man. He's seems very adimant about wanting this child. I know Kitty will be happy with him."

"Oh yeah? Just wait til the kid turns two." He countered in a rude tone. "I know how men think at that age. He's just playing along until he gets bored then he'll run off and leave her to suffer for sixteen years."

"Roger. Kurt told Kitty even if she didn't want to raise it, if she'd have it, he'd take her." She said. "He wants this baby. Has wanted to be a father for a long time now. And Kitty seems to want it too. It is her decision."

"One that might ruin her life Mary!" He countered as he turned back to her. "You can't honestly be comfortable know our baby is out having sex at sixteen!"

"I'm not. Just as my mother wasn't with me." She said. "But it IS her disision. And whether we like it or not, she's made it."

He sighed in frustration as he bumped his head against the door. "Fine...you win..." He grumbled in defeat and moved back to the bed.

"No matter how it gets on her. How tough it is on the both of them. I'm going to be there for them no matter what. She is my baby and if Kurt now comes with her then that's fine. I'm not going to give her up. Which means, when Kitty comes to the house, Kurt is invited along. And I want you to be civil to him!"

He rolled his eyes in more frustration as he moved back under the blankets. "Fine...but if I see anything suspicious-" He paused for effect. "Then I'm booting him."

The room was silent and Marry prayed to God that they where done. She didn't want Roger's temper flaring up again.

"Rgh...least they could have done was kept it down." He grumbled as he fluffed his pillow and turned out the light.

Marry laughed. "Like you said, Roger. They're kids." And with that she fell asleep.

"La la lala hm hmhm... ahem.....

Ahem....

Go away I'm busy!

Aw come on Puddin... don't you want to rev up your Harley. Vroom Vroom ahhhh oof!"

Kurt and Kittly laughed at Harley's feeble attempts at seducing the Joker as he pushed her off his desk.

"Oh sweety, I got the whoopy cushon!

Batman was right. That setup today was corny. Old hat! It's time I capped off a few with his own humiliation! Captured by his delitiously delerious death!

Why don't you just shoot him?

Just shoot him? Know this my sweet! The death of Batman must be nothing less than a masterpeice! The triumph of my sheer comic genius over his rediculous mask and gadjets!..... Well hold the phone... Here's one I forgot!"

"Oh no..." Kurt said quietly as he leaned back against the front of the couch, Kitty laying on the sofa.

"The death of 100 smiles! I'll loure Batman to a secret lair then BANG plop him into my specialy prepared parana tank! HAHAHAHAHA. The last think he'll see are the hundred beautiful hungry smiles as they rip to.... to.... oh wait wait... Now I remember why I scrapped this plan. Pranana's can't smile!"

Kurt and Kitty both laughed. "I can't believe you've never watching this before. Joker is hillarious." Kurt said picking up the DVD box set and checking to see what episode was next.

Kitty giggled as she sat up slowly, covering her mouth as a wave of nausea attacked her. "I was never into the cartoon channels when I was younger."

"The first time I ever watched a TV show I was...... fifteen I think." He said thoughtfully.

She looked at him in disbelief. "Fifteen? Really? That's old." She giggled again and moved up, wrapping her arms around him slowly.

"Never had time to watch T.V. Plus I think the only tv we had was a thirteen inch black and white tv that still had the bunny ears on top of it."

She smiled softly, imagining the thought of a small blue child with a devil like tail sitting in front of such a quaint mechanism. "How cute." She said answering her own thoughts.

"What? The old peice of junk?"

"A little tiny you." She corrected with a light smile. She moved away form him then and picked up her brush, running it through her hair.

"Except you had to explain it to me!" Kurt looked back at the TV as Joker started freaking out on Harley. "If you have to explain a Joke, then it's no JOKE! You've forgotten something I told you a long time ago Harley. The most painful truth of comedy. You always get the worst blows from the people who just don't GET THE JOKE!"

"Kitty?" Mary asked as she stepped into the room.

She looked over slowly and smiled. "Hi mom. We're watching Batman." She said to her. Roger entered after his wife and gave Kurt an ominous look.

"And don't call me Puddin!" Kurt laughed again then looked over to Mary.

"Guten Morgan Mrs. Pryde! Mr. Pryde!" He said cheerfully.

"Yeah hi." Her father grumbled and buried his hands deep in his pockets. Kitty gave him a look then hooked her arm around Kurt's, pulling him to her hip.

Kurt went back to watching his show laughing as the Joker ran up the stairs being biten by his own peranas.

"Did you need something?" Kitty asked as she let Kurt go and crossed her arms over her chest.

"We need to talk remember?" Mary asked. "We're all level headed now..." She said leveling a glare at her husband. "We're going to talk about this like adults."

She thought for a moment then sat next to Kurt and turned the tv off. "Ok."

Roger moved over and sat on one of the arms of the couch.

Kurt was about to protest at his show being turned off two minutes premature before he realized what was going on and figured he'd better keep his mouth shut.

Kitty sat nervously and looked between both her parents. Roger gave her a comforting smile and stroked her hair.

Kurt moved up onto the couch and sat next to Kitty.

"Me and you're father talked last night." Mary said. "We support you in you're decision what ever it may be." She said. She noticed the look of relief on Kurts face and smiled.

Kitty sighed in relief and smiled as well. "Though you two shuold get married before the baby arrives." Roger blurted. Kitty frowned.

Kurt's eyes widened, more out of shock than fear.

"I'm too young to get married dad." Kitty said.

"You're too young to be having a baby too!"

"Dad, I don't want this baby to be the reason he marries me." She said. "I'm not going to force him to marry me."

"Don't hand me that."

"It's true." She countered and slid away from him. "If we still feel this strongly for each other after the baby is two then maybe we'll start thinking about it."

"Roger. Don't force this on them." Mary said. "It's their decision. When they are ready they will marry. A forced marriage could do more damage than good Roger. You of all people should know that."

"Yes yes...I just want her to be taken care of..." He waved her away with his hand and sighed deeply.

"I will be daddy." She said. "We'll be fine. We'll even look into getting our own place.... eventually."

"And how do you plan that with no money?" He asked raising a brow at her. Kitty fell silent, she hadn't thought of that part yet.

Kurt smiled slightly. "I've had a full time job since I was four years old." He pointed out. "I've never really spent any of the money I earned. I'm sure I could have my account transfered here. It should be enough to put a downpayment on a place and then some..." Kurt said. "Only problem with that is the account is still in Margali's name.... and I don't know where she is."

"Margali?" Mary and Roger both said at the same time and looked at each other. "Who is that?" Mary asked, slightly suspicious.

"Margali is my foster mother." Kurt said. "She opened the account when I was little in her name. And it was never transfered over to mine cause legaly I don't exist."

Kitty pouted and brushed his hair back. Roger blinked then nodded in understanding.

"We could get the proffessor to locate her using Cerebro." He said. "Ugh.... but that would mean talking to Amanda again." He said looking slightly agitated.

"Do you think that's a good idea?" Kitty asked as she twirled her hair around her finger.

"Wait a minute." Roger interrupted while shaking his head in confusion. "What do you mean you don't exist?"

Kurt laughed. "I said I legaly don't exist. My mother threw me over a waterfall when I was an infant and washed up on shore. I was taken in by traveling gypsies. So I have no legal documentation saying that I do exist. No birth certificate, not nothing..."

"Aah...you survived that? Wow...you must have an angel on your side boy."

"More like my father..." Kurt mumbled incoherently.

"Well I think we've settled things..." Roger said as he stood up, wrapping his arm around Mary's shoulders.

"That's it?" Kurt asked confused. "I mean..... great.... but......... something doesn't seem right here."

"Well Mary is there anything else we need to do here?" He asked her and looked down. "Since your so trusting of him?"

"Oh don't you give me that sarcastic tone Roger." She said. "Be serious!"

"I am being serious." He countered and began tapping his foot.

"Daddy. Please don't be cross." She said going to him and giving him a hug. "This is what I want." She said smiling. "I'm happy."

he stared down at her and sighed. "As long as your happy...." He replied in a calm tone then ruffled her hair.

"Daad!" She protested.

Mary laughed. "So what are you're plans for today?" She asked.

Kurt shrugged. "At the moment, watching the end of Batman vol. 4"

"Mmh...well I guess we'll leave you to that." Roger said in an uninterested tone.

"Watch it with us." Kitty grabbed his arm. He gave her a look but she gave a cute one back, one that he visibly was having trouble resisting.

Kurt, being the inevitable prankster that he is couldn't help his next words. "Yeah come on dad!" He said giggling slightly.

Roger's eyes narrowed at the boy as he pulled his arm from Kitty's grip. "Call me that again and I swear..."

"Dad." Kitty warned.

"It was just a joke Roger." Kurt said flatly as he turned the television back on.

He huffed and sat down on the arm of the chair again.

Kurt put on the next episode that had the Joker in it.

"Why do you keep skipping episodes?" Kitty asked. Kurt shrugged.

"The only interesting ones are with Joker in it. He's funny." He pulled out a different box set. Vol 3. "Oh you have to watch this episode. The villians completely take over Arkham and put Batman on trial." He laughed.

"Arkhams the...?" Kurt groaned slightly.

"Have you not been watching this at all?" Kurt asked.

"I have..... I forget!"

"Arkham's the asylum they keep locking the Joker and the other villians in."

"Oooh ok." She said with a slight blush at her stupidity. Roger leaned back silently and folded on of his legs over the other. Kitty cuddled up to Kurt as the episode started, feeling sick, but content.

"Are you feeling okay?" He asked noticing an odd look on her face.

"Just feeling the lows of baking a bun." She replied in a light tone and smiled up to him. "Give us a kiss? We're getting lonely down here."

Kurt glanced at her dad a moment nervously before turning back to the T.V. It's not that he didn't want to kiss Kitty it was that he valued the place where his testicles where attached.

Kitty pouted and looked down slowly.

"She asked you to kiss her boy." Roger hissed in a low tone at him.

Kurt blushed, his ears and cheeks turning an odd shade of purple.

"Um.... I have to go get ready for class." He said. He kissed Kitty as she wanted and glancing at Roger quickly hastened out of the room.

Kitty smiled then curled up contently.
