Angel In The Attic
Chapter 44
Fusedtwilight: Hey guys, sorry for the wait. Been focusing on other projects and life things happen of course. Has anyone seen Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse yet? I saw them both and thought they were good movies. In this chapter the Champions try and clear Thor’s name.
“Okay. So we know someone has framed Thor knowing what the consequences would be. Who could benefit from it?” Michael asked.
“Any of Asgards enemies could benefit,” Thor responded. “As the mightiest son of Odin my banishment would be a great loss for my people.”
“Okay. So, we know whoever did this did it when you were on your way to earth. You had been drinking at the time, could it be possible you got slipped a potion or whatever you guy have up there to mess with your memory?” Angie asked.
“Would not be the first time,” Thor muttered.
“Okay. Maybe we should ask Cynthia herself what happened,” Angie suggested. “Obviously she is certain Thor is the dad so she must remember more than Thor.”
They all looked at Cynthia who was still talking to Franziska (who seemed unable to believe a woman could talk for so long without breathing)
“This should be good,” Devin sighed.
They all walked over to the pair. Franziska looked relieved to see them coming over.
“Hey Cynthia,” Angie said.
“Oh hey guys. I was just talking to Franziska. Did you know she is from Berlin? Like I went there with my family when we were traveling through Europe. Like it was so cool.”
“Yes, listen. We were wondering if we could ask you about the night you and Thor...umm...you know....uh.”
Michael continued to stammer. His own shy nature about the subject of sex made him unable to properly form words.
“We want to know about the night you got slammed by the thunder god here,” Jacob said.
“Oh it was like the craziest thing,” Cynthia said. “Like I was in a bad mood because my then boyfriend stood me up but then I found out he was actually on a date with another girl who by the way has the fakest boobs. So I was on my way home texting him how he was a total douche when there was this sudden flash of light and then Thor was like right in front of me. I totally like freaked out and took a bunch of selfies. See!”
She pulled out her cell (which was in a pink glittering case) and proceeded to show them pictures she took with a very inebriated, but smiling Thor.
“Oh cool he let you wear his helmet!” Devin said pointing to a picture of a smiling Cynthia wearing Thor’s Viking helmet.
“He was like so nice, he listened to me tell him about my dick boyfriend and he let me take a few photos to send to him to make him jelly.”
“Jelly?” Michael asked.
“She means jealous,” Angie said.
“Times like this make me fear for the future of the English language.”
“This one is my favorite,” she said showing them a picture of her and Thor together. He had his arm wrapped around her waist while he was flexing his other arm, showing off his muscular biceps while Cynthia planted kisses on his face.
“Dude how much weight do you lift,” Devin asked impressed by Thor's muscles.
“You’re asking him how he gets fit, really?” Franziska asked.
“Look at him!” Devin pointed a finger at Thor. “He's more ripped then Jacob or Rickard!”
“I eat lots of meat and burn the calories off by bashing in the heads of my foes!” Thor said slapping his hammer against the palm of his hand. He grinned at Devin. “It's amazing how much mass one gains in the arms when using a hammer for battle.”
“I am so getting a hammer,” Devin said.
“Let’s get back to the story,” Angie said. “Cynthia what happened after the pictures?”
“Like I asked Thor if I could try some of the beer he had with him and he said I shouldn't because it was from some place that was home to dwarfs.”
“Nidavellir,” Thor said.
She snapped her fingers “Yeah that!”
“What was I thinking, dwarf mead is strong stuff for a god. But for a mortal it would take not much but a sip for inebriation.”
“He's right. Like one mouthful and I was all kinds of wasted,” Cynthia said. “I asked him if he could fly me home and he let me ride his back and it was like so much fun. Then we got to my apartment and I invited him in and like...one thing led to another.”
Cynthia blushed.
“Talk about amazing! He like was such a gentleman. He did all the work and let me tell you about this thing called the elf-tickler he said he learned from an elf woman he knew.”
She began to go into a very graphic description of what an elf-tickler was. By the time she was done everyone was red faced and Thor was looking mighty proud of himself.
“Well...that was obscene,” Angie said her face red.
“You are the man!” Jacob said giving Thor a high five.
“Is there anything else you can tell us. Anything that seemed...odd?” Michael asked his face still red.
Cynthia thought for a moment.
“Well...after we finally went to bed I woke up a few hours later to get a shower. I mean after everything we did I was like so filthy. And while I was showering there was this weird green light that shined out from behind the curtains. I pulled them to the side and there was Thor. He smiled and climbed in and we did the deed again...except...well....maybe it was like all the sex we had before...but like...he was kind of lame that time. Seriously, three minutes.”
“Impossible!” Thor thundered. “I am a warrior both on the field of battle and in the bed!”
“It's okay Thor. My one friend is a sex therapist and she says when a man uses his thing for a long time it gets really sensitive so when we-”
“Enough!” Michael said not wanting to hear any more about Thor and his other hammer. “So what happened after Thor and you did it in the shower.”
“Well it was strange. Like he muttered something. I thought it was like dirty talk in Viking or something. His eyes glowed green and then he left and I thought that was rude to just leave me like that without making me finish too. But it was so odd because when I got back in bed Thor was all dry and I figured he used some god power or something.”
Thor clenched his fists. “A green light you say?” he asked through clenched teeth, his blue eyes sparked with electricity.
“Yeah. And I swear to God like I could have sworn this glowing picture thing appeared on my belly. But I was still kind of drunk so I am not sure.”
“It all makes sense now!” Thor growled.
“Care to explain?” Rickard said.
Before Thor could say anything the door opened and Jericho walked in.
“Jericho what are you doing in here!” Michael said with a note of panic.
“You didn't think I was going to miss meeting Thor!” Jericho said.
“Oh look Thor another hero!” Cynthia said clapping her hands. “And look he has wings and blue hair! Oh I love super-people! You are all so cool. Well not the ones who are like always trying to rule the world and stuff. Hey could I have mutant god babies? Because like that would be so cool! I have a cousin who is a mutant but we never talk about it. What would you call a mutant god baby?”
She leaned close to Franziska. “Like I totally dig mutants. My hair stylist has six arms and he is amazing. He was the first one I told about me being pregnant with Thor's babies and this lawyer guy was there who said he would represent me.”
“Wait, Thor knocked this chick up?” Jericho asked.
“Apparently someone did,” Angie said.
“Wait what?” Cynthia asked.
“Nothing!” Angie said quickly covering her mouth.
Michael quickly walked over to his cousin. “You shouldn't be here! What if you lose control again?”
“Relax, I haven't had an episode since earlier. Besides, Thor is in the Ark! How could I miss that?!”
“You should go back to your room Jericho,” Michael said.
“Look, I want to try fixing you guys. I think I got this figured out.”
“Are you sure?” Michael asked.
“Yeah. If we are going to be helping Thor then you guys need to be in top form. Not screwing around trying to figure out how your powers work,” Jericho said.
Michael thought for a moment. Jericho was right. They didn't get to fight the Asgardians through stroke of luck. They had made progress learning how to use each other’s powers but they still had a long way to go.
“Alright. Go into the training room. I will talk to the others.”
“Sure thing cuz.”
Jericho turned and left the room.
Michael smiled. He enjoyed having Jericho calling him cuz. They had grown close since Jericho joined the team. He was the opposite of Michael.
He was rash, impulsive, rude. But they both bonded over the loss of their mothers, they both talked about their issues with their parents. Jericho was still trying to process the fact his father had tried to form a cult and called himself a real angel. But when Michael told him his situation with his family he couldn't believe it.
“My dad can be strict but damn!”
Michael turned back to the others. “Thor, I am sure it has been a long day. How about we show you and Cynthia to your quarters.”
“Might I have a word with you young one,” Thor said.
Michael and Thor walked away from the group.
“What is it Thor?” Michael asked.
“I know who the real father is,” he said.
“You do?”
“Aye. My brother, Loki.”
“That guy that wears green with the golden horns?” Michael asked.
“Aye. I never thought he would sink this low!” Thor growled.
“How can you be sure?” Michael asked.
“Since we were children Loki has always looked for ways to discredit me. When we were young it was just harmless pranks. But as we grew older they became more and more malicious and cruel. Loki knows full well about the prophecy and what would happen if it was broken. With me disgraced and cast out. Like so many of our enemies he desires the throne of my father.”
“But would he really go this far?” Michael asked.
“I learned the hard way there is no evil my brother won’t commit in his gain for power. If I look at this from his own twisted perspective and I see how this would be a perfect opportunity for him. I believe when he lay with Cynthia he used magic to appear as me as well as ensure his seed take root in her womb. I believe the symbol that appeared on her stomach was a rune of fertility.”
“Makes sense, he frames you and then just sits back and lets your dad and friends hunt you down...but if Odin kills Cynthia and the babies then he would be killing Loki's kids. Your brother has to know that.”
A look of shame appeared on Thor's face. “Once there was a time when I would have gladly turned any who dare say such a thing about my brother to dust. But as I said, time only makes Loki more vile in his attempts to gain the throne.”
“Can't you just go to your father and tell him?”
“Nay. I have already confessed. Odin would see it as me trying to save the children.”
“What if we found Loki and make him confess?”
“He could be anywhere in the nine realms. His magic keeps him well hidden. How he must be laughing at the shame he has caused me!”
Michael was quit for a moment. Then he got an idea.
“Listen, this place has a Zoo.”
“A zoo?”
“The guy who built it for me invested a lot of time and money. He built all kinds of rooms. A pool, a training room, a medical lab, we didn't know about the zoo until a couple weeks ago when one of the elephants got sick. You ever seen an elephant with diarrhea?”
“Try shoveling the dung of an eight-legged horse. Turns out Sleipnir has eight stomachs as well.”
“If you want you can take Cynthia there. I need to...fix things with my team,” Michael said.
“I thank you again Michael. You and your team are truly heroes at heart,” Thor said.
“We're Champions, it's what we do,” Michael said.
While Thor took Cynthia to the zoo Michael and the rest of the Champions went to the training room to try and get their powers switched back to normal.
They had tried three times so far, each time Jericho would pull the power out of them then try and put everything back as it should.
So far Michael had Rickards power, Wayne’s, and Devin’s. The latest attempt he thought for an actual moment he had his power pack when he saw the white wings growing from his back.
But it was not until Franziska pointed out the markings on his face that he realized he had her power.
“This sucks,” Angie said, looking like a large bat thanks to having Wayne’s power.
“TellmeaboutitIreallywantmypowerbackIamtiredofallthisbackandforthshit,” Jacob said.
No one even bothered trying to figure out what he said.
Jericho was breathing hard. “Sorry guys. I just can't figure out how to make sure you get your powers back,” he said.
“Rickard, heal him,” Michael said.
Rickard walked forward and put his hands on Jericho's shoulders. Michael felt a pain of longing as he looked at the familiar white wings on Rickards back.
Once Rickard finished revitalizing Jericho Angie spoke.
“Guys, maybe we have been going about this all wrong,” she said.
“What do you mean?” Rickard asked.
“Well, Jericho can't seem to choose who gets what power. We've tried but it's always random. We know when he pulls out our powers he spits them out as those little marble things right?”
“Yeah. That should be his codename. Pez Dispenser,” Devin said.
“Ha, good one,” Wayne said giving him a high five.
“Blow me!” Jericho said.
“But that’s the thing. He can only return our power after he ingests one of the marbles...so...maybe if we swallow the ones that belong to us… we'll get our powers.”
The room was quiet for a moment.
“Are you suggesting”-Franziska began to speak, the disgust clear in her voice- “that we swallow one of those things...after Jericho spits it up.”
“Ugghhh!”
“Nasty!”
“Sick!
“Noway!”
Angie sighed as the room burst into cries of protest and revulsion.
“Come on guys. Think about it. We don't have time to be messing around trying to fix ourselves. If we're going to help Thor and Cynthia we need to get our powers back to normal.”
“I vote Devin try it first!” Jericho said pointing at Devin.
“Wait what?! No-”
“Not it!”
Notit!”
“Not it!”
“Not it!”
“Not it!”
“Not it!”
“Not it!”
All the other Champions said it at the same time and placed their fingers on their nose.
“Not it-damn it!” Devin cursed.
“Oh this is going to be good!” Jericho said with a laugh.
“No freaking way man!” Devin argued.
“It's a sound plan,” Michael said.
“Dude you should be the lab rat!” Devin said. “You're the team leader and his your cousin!”
Michael quickly tried to think of some kind of excuse to counter Devin's logic. But luckily his cousin saved him.
“I want you to do it Devin. My power, my rules,” Jericho said.
Devin gave him a sullen look. “This is because I called you Pez Dispenser isn't it?”
“You bet your ass it is,” Jericho said.
“What if it doesn't work?” Devin asked.
Angie shrugged. “Come on Devin. Don't you want your power back?”
“Yes but... why me?” he whined.
“Dudemanup!” Jacob said.
“Fine!” Devin snapped.
“Alright. Let’s do this.”
Jericho spread his wings. The eye like markings began to glow. Beams of light shot out and hit the Champions. Pulling the power from each of them.
The light faded from Jericho's wings and he spat out several small marble like objects onto his hands.
He plucked one slimy ball out. “This one is yours.” he handed it to Devin. “Bon Appétit bitch!”
Devin looked at the marble then at the others. “I hate you guys.”
He scrunched up his face. Closed his eyes and popped it into his mouth and swallowed it.
“Oh God that was so damn disgusting!”
He began to gag and wipe his tongue with his hands.
“Well? Anything?” Jacob asked.
Devin looked at his hands. He ran around in circles but at a normal pace.
“I swear to God if I swallowed that for nothing I will-”
Suddenly his whole body began to glow. He began to vibrate at such a speed he was a blur. He began to run around the room at such a speed he was a blur.
“SweetIgotmypowerback!Ohmanthisissoawesome!”
“Is it just me or does he seem faster?” Wayne asked.
“Well, we know without his power his cerebral palsy prevented him from being able to walk. When you had my power you healed him. So maybe now that he is cured of his condition he can move faster,” Michael explained.
“OhwowIcanrunfaster!Thatisgreat!” Devin said.
“Dude slow down, we can barely hear you,” Jacob said.
Devin took a moment to gather his thoughts. “Sorry...I...I think...Michael is...right.”
“Wonder how fast he is?” Franziska asked.
“We'll find out later. Jericho, which one is mine?” Angie asked.
“This one,” Jericho said showing her one of the marbles.
“Okay. Everyone leave. Jericho is going to give me my power back first.”
“Butyouhavetoswallowit!” Devin said losing concentration and speaking fast.
Angie broke out into laughter. “Actually I had a better idea first. Instead of having Jericho swallow all the marbles and try and give our powers to us all in the same room why doesn't he just do us one at a time. But then I thought this would be a great opportunity to prank Devin.”
The room was silent at first. Everyone was looking at Angie with shock on their faces. Then they all broke out into lauther, sans Devin that is.
“Yousetmeup!” Devin said with outrage.
“Nice!” Jericho said.
“Damn that was good!” Wayne said.
“How...could...you!” Devin shouted.
Angie gave him an icy glare. “Because you posted my bra size online!”
“You really know how to hold a grudge,” Devin said sullenly.
“Alright guys. Let's get our powers back,” Michael said.
“This is where you lost them?” Angela asked.
She was with a group of Asgardian warriors including Lady Sif and the Warriors Three. They had returned to the site where the Champions took Thor and Cynthia away.
“Where they were taken away by an unknown group. Probably one of the many super-warriors Thor has befriended,” Fandral said.
“Hmm. You say they vanished in a flash of light?” Angela asked.
“Yes. But it was not sorcery,” Hogun said.
“More than likely some kind of advanced technology.” Angela held out her hand as if feeling something unseen. “Though the means are different the result is the same.”
“Can you track them?” Sif asked.
“Funny thing about teleporting. No matter what method you use the result is always the same. As well as the effects it leaves behind. What most people don't know that when you teleport a mark is left in space. A mark that leads from the points of destination.”
“We have had some experience with such a concept,” Sif said.
It was clear she neither liked no trusted Angela. She may be the lost daughter of the All-Father and the All-Mother. But she was raised by angels, the sworn enemies of Asgard.
For a large sum of money, she was going to hunt her brother and his children down to be delivered to Odin. And she showed neither remorse nor hesitance.
To a regular person one would say Angela had no honor.
But to an angel honor meant nothing. They were all about balance. Everything had a price.
The way Angela saw it Thor brought this on himself. He knew about the prophecy; he knew the consequences. He knew what the birth of his sons meant for his people and still he ran from his fate.
Sif saw Angela as cold and heartless, another greedy angel with a void where her heart should be.
Angela had a similar low opinion of Thor.
She had a similar low opinion of all Asgardians.
But despite her opinion she was being paid to do a job.
Even though she now knew of her true origin it did not soften her feeling or her attitude to Asgard.
Angela was no stranger to being an outsider. Growing up she was called weak and a freak because she was the only woman with no wings. Only the Anchorites. The men who were hidden away to prey for the dead had no wings.
Angela had endured cruelty in her youth. Being called weak and ugly and some even dared to question if maybe she wasn't actually a man pretending to be a woman.
And Angela paid them all back. For every taunt, every sneer, every cruel laugh Angela paid back by becoming the most powerful and skilled warrior.
Then her true origins were revealed and for her years of loyal service she was merely banished.
Even though Odin offered her a home in Asgard she declined. You don't spend your entire life being raised to hate a people then suddenly walk into their home and share bread with them just because you find out you are their long lost scion.
Angela knew the Asgardians (save her father) didn't care for her.
Angels, Asgardians, they both saw her as tainted.
But it didn't matter to Angela. She was raised to pay her debits, to bring balance to the world.
The Odinson has brought this on himself. In a moment of weakness and carnal pleasure he put the future of his people at risk. Now a foolish mortal and two innocent babies would die.
Angela would find Thor and his woman. She would take them to Odin and he would pass judgment on them.
Angela pulled out her sword.
Call her a monster. Call her evil. Call her heartless.
But she is a warrior of heaven even though she is banished. Because she believes there is a price for everything. She believes that things like honor and justice are the evils of the world. Lies people tell to get what they want for their own selfish ends.
“Then you should also know with the right equipment and the right know-how that tear can be reopened!”
Angel slashed the air and there was a blinding light as a tear appeared.
In the tear a brightly lit room could be seen.
“That must be where they are hiding, let’s go!” Hogun said.
They all began to converge on the tear but Angela stopped them.
“Wait!” one of her ribbons moved to the tear. The second it moved through there was a sound like something being electrocuted and the ribbon was burned.
“What is it?” Sif asked.
“Protections. Where ever they are it is well defended.”
“So you can't find them?” Volstagg asked.
“I have found them. The problem is getting through the portal without being destroyed by their locations defenses,” Angela responded.
“Perhaps I can help,” one of the Asgardians said walking forward. “I am skilled in sorcery, perhaps I might be able to reach through and pull Thor out.”
“Could you do this?” Angela asked.
“If you can keep the portal open long enough I might be able to summon him out.”
“Who is that man?” Fandral asked Sif.
“I don't recognize him. Something about him bothers me though,” Sif said. She walked forward, looking him up and down. “Who are you?”
The man bowed. “I am Ivar.”
“If you can do so without arousing suspicion then do it,” Angela said. “But if you fail than you best be prepared to deal with punishment,” Angela warned.
“I think I can handle whatever the mortals have,” Ivar said with confidence.
He walked up to the portal and raised his hands. They glowed with a green light and he began to chant.
Ivar smiled.
They were all fools. Even Odin's precious lost daughter.
After so many centuries you would think they would know how to spot him. Even with all his illusions.
But Loki was the god of mischief.
He had been watching his brother. Waiting for the right moment to strike. When the oaf left Asgard to go tell his friends yet another dull tale of his heroism Loki sensed an opportunity to strike.
But even inebriated Thor was a force to be reckoned with.
Then he ran into that idiot mortal girl Cynthia and Loki sensed a chance.
Loki watched as they made their way to the woman’s home and had congress with one another. Knowing all about the prophecy Loki formulated a plan.
A part of him considered casting a fertility spell to make sure the woman had Thor's spawn. But Loki himself would face death if the twins were born. Loki wanted to rule all nine worlds (Oh wait. There is ten now) and he could not do that if they were all destroyed (and he was dead...again).
So once Thor was out and the woman was alone Loki assumed his brothers form and enjoyed the woman. Using magic to insure she would have his children.
With Thor himself assured he was the father he would be disgraced and exiled. Loki would save his sons before the woman would be killed. A simple spell to take them from the womb and he would have a pair of heirs to teach and raise to help him take over the throne.
The fact Odin called Angela to help made this all the sweeter.
Loki had counted on Thor's friends helping, he did not count for some newbie superhero team popping in and whisking them away.
All he had to do was somehow get Thor and Cynthia out from wherever the Hel they were and take them back to Asgard. Thor would be gone, the woman would be dead and Loki would have to little demi-gods to train in the ways of mischief.
The problem was the defenses of their hideaway were stronger then he thought. Whoever made them had a lot of time and power to make them.
It was going to take a while.
“Like oh my God Thor, there really is a zoo here! These Champions have the coolest hideout!” Cynthia said.
She was holding onto Thor's arm as they walked around the zoo. It went on for miles. There were herds, packs, schools, flocks and groups of hundreds of different kinds of animals.
There were drones in charge of taking care of the animals. Making sure they were fed and keeping them and their homes nice and clean.
Thor would be lying if he said he was not relieved he was not the father of Cynthia's children.
He should have listened to his mother and got those anti-procreation runes. Then he wouldn't have gotten into this mess. Nor would Cynthia have been dragged.
Damn Loki and his trickery. He has used mortals many times in his plans for conquest. But to do something so perverse and cruel.
What would Cynthia do when she found out?
“I know were like on the run and all but do you think I can like call my family?” she asked as they passed an enclosure with several bears.
“I am sure they are like all scared and stuff. And I...oh like...ow.”
“Are you okay Cynthia?” Thor asked.
“Yes it's just the babies. All this excitement has them agitated I think. Just give them a minute and-ow!”
She clutched her stomach, her whole body began to tense.
“Cynthia!”
Thor placed a comforting hand on her back.
“Thor...like...I think the babies are coming.”
Thor noticed her pants had started to become wet.
“Scratch that...they are coming!”
“Hey guys, how I missed you,” Michael said as he caressed his wings.
“Do you want us to leave you alone with your wings?” Jacob asked.
“Seriously, it's kind of creepy how your touching them,” Devin said.
Michael blushed and put his hands down.
“Just ignore them cuz. They can't imagine what it is like to not have wings,” Jericho said.
“I agree,” Franziska said.
The Champions were enjoying having their powers back. Just as Angie suggested Jericho gave them their powers back one by one until they were all restored.
“I actually enjoyed the experience. I mean it was cool being able to use different powers,” Wayne said.
“It definitely gave me some new respect for you guys. I thought my power was tough to control,” Rickard said.
Just then Eve spoke throughout the room. “Excuse me. I believe you should be aware that Cynthia has gone into labor. Thor is escorting her to the medlab as we speak.”
“What?!” Everyone shouted.
“She's having the babies now?!” Jacob yelled.
“Talk about timing!” Wayne said.
“Does anybody here know how to deliver a baby?” Angie asked.
They all shook their heads.
“Well shit,” she said.
“No need to worry,” Eve spoke, “the Ark has the technology and I have medical files on fetal delivery. With the assistance of the medical drones I believe I can successfully deliver the children successfully.”
“How many babies have you delivered Eve?” Rickard asked.
“This would be my first time. Isn't it exciting?”
“More like terrifying but if you are sure you can do it,” Michael said.
“Oh most definitely. But I must also let you know, a tear in space has appeared on level three. I believe the Asgardians are trying to invade the Ark.”
“What?! How?” Michael asked.
“I am not sure. But I believe they somehow reopened the tear the Ark's teleportation technology makes. Luckily the Ark's defenses are keeping them from entering directly. However, I believe it would be prudent to prevent them from probing the portal. I have tried to close it but something or someone is keeping it open.”
“Okay...Angie, Jericho. You guys go to the medlab and see if you can help with the delivery. The rest of us will go to level three and see what we can do about the portal.”
“Why do I have to go?” Jericho asked.
“Because we're not sure if you will have another episode with your powers. And I don't think we want to be switching abilities with the Asgardians,” Michael said.
“Could Jericho even do that?” Angie asked. “They are supposed to be gods.”
“There is only one God,” Michael responded. “And he doesn’t dress like a reject from a Renaissance fair.”
“How much longer?” Sif sked.
“I need more time. The protection spells are numerous and very refined. If I am not careful I could cause a mystical backlash,” Ivar (actually Loki) said.
He was being truthful (a rare occurrence) whoever it was that made all these layers of protection was no armature. They knew some really powerful spells.
Really old and powerful spells. It made Loki wonder who made them...and if maybe these Champions had some powerful connections.
“The real problem is how long before they realize we are trying to breach their defenses. I am sure if someone could make such powerful defenses then surely they can-”
Suddenly they all saw a door on the other side of the portal open and Thor and the Champions arrived.
“Thor!” Fandral yelled.
“Aldrif!” Thor yelled.
“Who?” Michael asked.
“Me,” Angela said.
“My sister,” Thor said.
“Damn she fine,” Jacob said checking her out.
“You’re not my type,” Angela said.
“Thor come with us now!” Sif said.
“My friends, listen! I have made a grave error!” Thor said.
“That you have Odinson. End this foolishness now,” Angela said.
“Let me speak!” Thor yelled. “A crime has been committed but not by me! It was by Loki!”
“What does that trickster have to do with this?” Sif asked.
“I did lay with the Midgardian Cynthia. But it was not my seed that took root in her. Loki used his magic to impersonate me then he made her with child!”
“That’s enough of that!” Ivar/Loki yelled. He waved his hand and it shined with a green light. Thor suddenly found himself pulled past the portal and amongst the Asgardians. “Being so close to the portal helped me reach through and pull you out Thor!”
“Restrain him!” Angela yelled.
“Champions! Go!” Michael yelled.
They all ran through the portal to help Thor.
Michael gunned for Ivar. He didn’t know why but he had a bad feeling about him.
“Like ow!” Cynthia complained as another labor pain hit her.
“Why the hell am I here?” Jericho asked. “I don’t know anything about babies!”
“You think I want to be here?” Angie asked.
Angie and Jericho would rather be out helping fight Asgardians. But because they couldn’t risk Jericho losing control of his power and Cynthia needed some female company right now (Franziska was quick to say no) Angie had to stay behind.
Cynthia was being attended too by three androids. They were sleek featureless figures with a humanoid shape. Angie found them rather unnerving because of their blank faces.
One was wiping the sweat from her forehead and the other was holding her hand. The third had it’s hand on her stomach. Angie thought it was taking readings because it’s hand was flashing a series of colors.
“Good news. The babies are safe and healthy. There appears to be no medical complications,” Eve said.
“Well that is good,” Jericho said.
“This hurts like, a lot!” Cynthia said with a wince.
“I am not an expert but it seems like this is going a little bit quick,” Jericho said.
“Maybe it’s a god-thing,” Angie said shrugging her shoulders.
“In some cases a mystical pregnancy has been known to have certain factors that cause things to progress quickly,” Eve commented.
“So these kids could pop out any minute?” Jericho asked with a horrified tone.
“Like that is a good thing I think,” Cynthia said.
She let out a cry as she was hit with another labor pain.
“Angie, Jericho. I am sorry to report that the Champions have engaged the Asgardians,” Eve said.
“They’re in here?” Angie asked.
“No. Thor was pulled through the hole. The Asgardians must have a mystic with them.”
“Oh no! Like they are going to take my babies!” Cynthia cried.
Angie put a comforting hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry. We have fought all kinds of monsters. I am sure we can handle a bunch of crazy-”
“Son’s of bitches!” Jacob roared.
He was in his wendigo form and was fighting with Volstagg,
Thor was fighting his sister while the other Champions fought the rest of the Asgardians.
They may look like a bunch of fantasy genre cosplayers but they were strong and tough.
Michael was facing off against Sif.
“You are a good warrior for such a young Midgardian!” Sif said.
Michael blocked a blow from her with his spear.
“Listen! You guys have all been fooled!” he tried to explain.
“What do you mean?” she asked.
Before he could explain he was hit from behind by a green blast. He fell to the ground and Sif saw Ivar had been the one to attack Michael.
“No need to thank me Lady Sif,” he said.
Michael raised his hand and fired a blast of angel fire at Ivar’s chest. It sent him flying back.
“No need indeed!” Michael said.
Before Sif could react Michael hit her with his wings knocking her back.
Thor and Angela continued to fight. The children of Odin were a sight to behold. Brother vs sister, sword vs hammer. The firstborn daughter vs the firstborn son.
“You are so eager to deliver me to All-Father Odin Aldrif?” Thor asked swinging his hammer round.
“I do as he pays me to do Odinson. You should be happy, no one has ever paid me as well as he did to bring you back to Asgard,” Angela said.
“Tis a shame you only visit your father when he offers you money,” Thor said, his eyes blazed with hostility.
“Tis a shame I must clean my younger brothers mess up. A burden I suppose for all first borns to bare I suppose,” Angela said with an air of indifference.
Thor let out a roar and summoned several bolts of lightning from the sky. Angel dodged each one easily, moving faster then the lightning itself.
She ran at Thor, her blade drawn. He ducked before she could lop of his head, he brought his hammer up to bash hear head off her shoulders but her psychic ribbons grabbed his arm.
Angela elbowed him right in the face.
The two continued to fight, both smiling savagely as they waged their own personal battle.
Franziska faced off against Fandril, he had his sword raised but had yet to attack her. “M’lady I must ask you and your friends cease interfering in Asgardian affairs.”
“Sorry, but I am not one to stand by and allow innocent lives be pointlessly lost. I didn’t chose the codename Guardian just to show off,” she replied.
“Then let this be one more thing I regret this day,” he said.
He lunged forward with his sword out. He only intended to incapacitate her. It was bad enough he had to hunt his friend Thor but if he could help it Fandril would not shed any more innocent blood.
He moved like lightning, centuries of experience showed in his form and movement. But Franziska sensed when he intended to strike. She raised her hand and with the power of her mind she stopped him, the point of his sword an inch from her palm.
“How about I make this a different thing you regret,” she said.
She made a fist and raised her hand and raised him into the air. She slammed him onto the ground several times and threw him away. She kept his sword and willed it to her hand.
“Nice craftsmanship,” she said as she examined the blade.
Devin was running around. He didn’t bother trying to hold back on his new speed levels. When fighting gods it was never wise to hold back.
Suddenly he was surrounded in a green light. He was frozen, like someone had put pause on him.
Ivar appeared in the line of his visions. The center of his chest still smoking from Michael’s attack. “Wretched mortals! You’ve hindered my plans for the last time!”
He pulled out his sword and was about to run it through Devin’s chest. But suddenly he felt an invisible pressure on several nerve points on his body.
He let out a scream, or at least he tried to. When he opened his mouth no sound came out. Devin knew before he saw him that it was Rickard who had saved his life.
“You okay Devin?” he asked.
The light keeping him frozen vanished. Devin was able to move again.
“Thanks dude, I-”
Devin ran past Rickard, it took a moment for him to realize he had ran and not teleported. He turned and saw Devin had tackled Hogun who had about to strike Rickard with his mace.
But Devin saved him by tackling Hogun. At the speed he moved they both flew back, slamming into several other Asgardians.
Rickard went to help, but he saw Ivar moving. His whole body glowed green as he healed himself and charged his magic.
“How dare you make me feel such agony!” he snarled.
“Guess you gods are not so different from us mortals after all. Nerve endings and all,” Rickard said with a grin.
“The difference you damned insect is in terms of raw power!”
He held out his hand and fired a beam of mystical energy. Rickard jumped to the side and rolled on the ground. Ivar held his hands together and began to chant.
Rickard held out his hands and took the sound away and Ivar had no voice to use.
“I know a few people who dabbled in magic. I know spells need words to work!”
Ivar just smiled. He made several gestures with his hands and a glowing symbol appeared beneath Rickard’s feat. Iron shackles and chains wrapped themselves around his body.
“You know little of the mystic arts. Spells can be cast using simple hand gestures if one is gifted in the craft.”
Rickard focused. With all the screaming and claps of thunder it was easy for him to magnify the sound into the chains, shattering them.
He was about to attack Ivar but saw that he had vanished.
He knew he was close, he could hear his heart beat. He knew he was still close, but with all the noise he had to focus.
Three daggers came flying from the right. He managed to deflect two but the third hit him in the shoulder.
“Son of a-”
“Bitch it hurts!” Cynthia yelled.
“You're doing good Cynthia just keep pushing!” Angie said.
She was holding her left hand while Jericho held her right. Despite being petite she was surprisingly strong.
Angie looked at Jericho who had a pained expression on his face.
“Think you can ease up on the grip?” he asked.
“NO!” she yelled in his face. “Where the hell is Thor! He like needs to be here!”
“I agree,” Jericho muttered.
The medical-android was between her legs which were propped up.
“Keep pushing Cynthia, the first baby is almost out,” Eve said.
“Couldn't we have just done a C-section?” Angie asked.
“The babies were coming to quickly for that,” Eve said. “It is actually amazing how quickly they are exiting. Perhaps a result of their heritage.”
“The quicker they got out the better!” Cynthia yelled.
“The head is visible. One more push Cynthia,” Eve said.
“You got it!”
Cynthia took a big breath and her face turned redder then a tomato as she gave one big push.
She scrammed in pain and her grip on Angie and Jericho's hands got so tight they could hear their bones strain under the pressure.
“AAGGGHHHH!”
“AAGGGHHHH!”
“AAGGGHHHH!”
“AAGGGHHHH!”
“Why the hell are you screaming?” Angie asked Eve.
“Well everyone else is doing it, it seemed like fun,” Eve responded.
Before Angie could tell her where she could stick her fun the smaller screaming filled the air.
“It's a boy,” Eve said happily.
“A boy?” Cynthia asked weakly.
The med-bots quickly went to work cleaning the newborn and severing the birth cord. They swaddled it in a blanket and handed it to Angie who bent down to show him to his mother.
Angie glanced at the med-bots. She wondered if they were controlled by Eve or if they had their own lesser AI. She had seen them and many other versions around the Ark. Either cleaning or doing maintenance.
“Like...he’s so beautiful,” Cynthia said touching her son’s cheek and looking at him like he was the most wondrous thing she had ever seen,
“I think I will call him-AGGGHHH!”
“Odd name,” Jericho said.
“She's in pain you idiot!” Angiel snapped at him, she moved the newborn baby back and forth as it began to cry from the sound of it's mothers pain.
“Somethings like wrong...I-I can feel it!” she said.
“Eve!” Angie said.
“The baby has become entangled on it's own umbilical cord. If we do not act it will not survive,” Eve responded.
“No! Please someone save my baby!” Cynthia begged.
“I recommend an immediate C-section,” Eve said.
One of the robots raised Cynthia's gown another placed it's hand across her stomach.
“Activating anti-bacterial field.”
A light shined around them. Angie knew this field would eradicate any bacteria inside the light, preventing any infection from entering the opening that was about to be made.
“Begin Cesarian procedure.”
One of the med-bots stepped forward, it's hands transformed into an assortment of medical tools.
“Oh God this is like going to hurt!” Cynthia said.
“Do not worry, a numbing agent has been applied to help with the pain. You may feel some minor discomfort,” Eve assured her.
“Just save my baby please!”
“Jericho hold her hand,” Angie ordered.
“Yes, hold my hand!” Cynthia said.
Jericho looked at her with a mutinous expression.
“I am holding the baby!” Angie said.
“But-”
Cynthia reached out and grabbed his hand. Jericho began to cry out as once more his hand was crushed under Cynthia's tight grip.
“First we shall make the incision using a concentrated light beam.”
“A what?” Cynthia asked.
“A laser dear,” Eve responded.
A red beam of light shined from one of the med-bots instruments, Jericho and Angie watched as it slowly moved across her belly, making a neat cut.
“Oh God there is blood!” Jericho moaned.
“Like a lot?” Cynthia asked.
“No more then usual,” Eve said.
A 3-D model of Cynthia's womb appeared above them. They could see the baby. Cynthia let out a moan as she saw her poor child being strangled by it's own cord.
“Now, we will go inside and unwrap the cord from the infants neck. Once this is done we will pull him out and reseal the incision,” Eve explained. “As I said before this might be a bit uncomfortable.”
Another med-bot transformed it's left hand into a pair of rods which it gently inserted into the cut and pulled the folds apart enough for it to insert it's other hand inside.
“Oh God this feels so creepy! It's like from that movie Alien!” Cynthia whined.
They watched the model above. It showed the med-bots hand slipping inside. It's fingers transformed into long tentacles which were able to untangle the umbilical cord from the baby's neck. The tentacles then wrapped around the infant and began to pull it out.
“Ohhh!” Cynthia moaned and Jericho began to whine.
“Here it comes,” Eve said.
A moment later the room was filled with the sounds of another crying newborn.
“Oh wow he's...blue.”
“Blue?” Jericho said.
“Blue?” Angie said.
“Goo,” the baby she held said.
The infant looked like a regular human child, except it's skin was a deep blue color, as if it's skin had been doused in the Ocean.
“Is he like okay?” Cynthia asked.
“Yes, there is no damage. His skin color is merely a result of his genetics.”
Once the baby was swaddled and it's cord cut and Cynthia was healed The med-bots handed him to his mother. Cynthia let go of Jericho's hand and he let out a sigh of relief.
Angie handed her the other baby and they watched as Cynthia held her newborns.
“Like they are so beautiful! Grab my cell, I want to take pictures!”
Angie and Jericho began to whisper to one another.
“Why the hell is that kid blue?”
“I don't know,” Angie replied, “maybe since they are demigods one got different genes then the other.”
“Wait, if the Asgardians think Thor is the dad then maybe this is how we can prove he isn't. I mean they don't have blue skin right?”
Angie beamed at Jericho. “I could kiss you right now!”
He grinned and began to pucker his lips.
“But I'm not,” she quickly said.
“Aw, I can't wait for you both to meet your daddy. I wonder how Thor is doing right now?” she asked.
Angela was on top of Thor, her fist repeatedly struck him on the face.
“Not so tough without your hammer are you?” she asked.
He raised his hand and Mjolnir flew to his hand. He summoned a bolt of lightning that blasted her off him.
He stood up, ready to continue the fight, but Angela was already back up, ready to battle.
Michael was healing Rickard. When he saw he had been stabbed by Ivar he was quick to help him.
Sif tried to stop him but Michael used his telepathy to stun her.
When Ivar had been about to stab Rickard Michael once more attacked him with a beam of angel fire.
“Michael we need to stop this and get back to the Ark,” Rickard said.
“I know, we need to convince them that Thor is not the father.”
“But how?” he asked, “they won’t listen to reason.”
Just then there was a flash of light.
“EVERYONE STOP!” a voice yelled.
Everyone stopped fighting.
Angie, Jericho stood along with Cynthia, her babies and a dozen war-bots.
They were kind of like the med bots. Only designed to defend the Ark. After Blut had invaded Eve had begun to mass produce them in the weapons factory.
Because apparently Adonai thought they would need a weapons factory along with a zoo.
Unlike the more passive med-bots the war-bots were more aggressive. Despite the fact they did not seem to be dangerous Eve had shown them a demonstration of their abilities.
Angie spoke again.
“Listen Asgardians! Thor is not the father, we have proof!”
“Cynthia gave birth, our tests show that Thor is not the dad!” Jericho yelled.
“Wait what?!” Cynthia asked.
“Lies!” Ivar said.
Both Cynthia and Michael could not hear his thoughts. But they could feel he was nervous about something.
Michael started to get suspicious.
“Of course they would say such things to protect their hero,” Ivar said.
“Cynthia, show them Blue,” Angie said.
Cynthia handed her other child to Jericho and raised the blue baby up for all to see.
“That looks like a Frost Giant baby,” Hogun said.
“A lot smaller though,” Volstagg commented.
“What trickery is this Thor?” Angela asked.
“Like what is going on? What do you mean Thor isn’t my baby daddy?” Cynthia asked.
“Our base has technology that told us the babies were not related to Thor. When we had Cynthia recount her night with Thor she admitted they did have sex.”
“Yeah, but he was the only one I had sex with!” Cynthia argued. “Like the second time he didn’t do so good but we’d been drinking.”
“Maybe Thor is telling the truth,” Fandral said. “Loki has impersonated him before.”
“And the child is obviously of Loki’s tribe,” Sif said.
“It is all a lie!” Ivar yelled.
Michael activated his soul-vision.
“You’re right, it is!”
He formed a rope of angel fire and wrapped it around Ivar.
“Treachery!” Angela yelled raising her sword.
“It’s Loki!” Michael said pointing at Ivar. “He’s using magic to disguise himself!”
“Damn you mortal!”
A green light shined from Ivar, a second later Loki sat on the ground, struggling in his bonds.
“So it’s true!” Sif said.
“Yes! While that oaf was sleeping his way through inebriation I used my power to mimic his appearance and impregnate the human wench!”
“Wh-what?” Cynthia asked looking sick.
“Loki this is foul even for you!” Fandral said looking at Loki with pure disgust. “I would never think you would use your tricks to seduce a woman in such a manner!”
“Oh please, she was begging for it!” Loki said.
“Like...Thor isn’t my baby daddy?” Cynthia asked, tears began to grow in her eyes.
Angie placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
“Yes, you idiot!” Loki growled. “I planned on saving our children before the All-Father killed you. Last thing I need is a fool like you raising my heirs.”
“Oh my God like this is so nasty!” Cynthia cried. “Why couldn’t it have been like one of the cooler bad guys who was my baby daddy?!”
“It’s over Loki, we’re taking you to Asgard to face punishment. I hope the All-Father and All-Mother give you a punishment that will be the stuff of legend!” Sif said.
“Odin payed me to bring in Thor and the woman. I’ll just have to charge him for this worm as well,” Angela said.
“Indeed, let us take this maggot back to Asgard and bring justice for Thor and the maiden he so wronged!” Hogun said.
Loki smiled. He said something and vanished in a puff of green smoke.
He reappeared behind Cynthia and was about to grab her and teleport away. But Angie grabbed his arm.
No one moved. They all know even without his magic Loki could rip Angie apart.
She knew this too, but she was not going to let this sicko hurt Cynthia and the babies.
“Back off you bastard!” she snarled.
Loki sneered at her. “Begone foolish mortal bitch. The affairs of gods do not concern you!”
“Take aim!” she yelled.
The war-bots began to transform Their bodies and limbs unfolded revealing guns, flamethrowers, missile launchers and lazer beams.
“Angie don’t you’ll kill yourself in the blast!” Devin yelled.
“Trust her, she knows what she is doing,” Franziska said, knowing what Angie was thinking thanks to her telepathy.
Jericho grabbed Cynthia and began to pull her back away from the duo.
Loki glared at Angie, angry at the defiance he was being shown by a mere human woman.
“You know what they call me assface?” she asked.
“The weak one?”
She smiled. “Tazmin. Like the cartoon character. Thought it was fitting given my power.”
“What are you prattling about you-.”
Gripping his arm tighter Angie began to spin around, tossing Loki around in a green blur. She let him go and he went flying up into the air.
“FIRE!” she yelled.
The war-bots fired at Loki, unleashing a volley of bullets, missiles and laser beams.
The sky lit up like the forth of July. Everyone stared in shock. To most people it would seem like overkill, but when dealing with a god it was always wise to unleash hell.
“Ceasefire,” Angie said.
The war-bots stopped, their weapons still smoking.
“Daaaamn,” Devin said.
“Holy shit!” Wayne said.
“That was awesome!” Jacob said.
“Like...wow,” Cynthia said.
“Gaa!”
“Bahh!” the babies said waving their arms around happily.
“So is he dead?” Jacob asked.
Loki landed on the ground. His body was bloody and blackened. He let out a small pitiful whine of pain.
“Well, I found that to be very enjoyable,” Thor said.
“Better bind him and take him back home,” Sif said.
While the Asgardians began to chain Loki up Thor walked over to Cynthia.
“I am sorry Cynthia. You were dragged into an age old family feud.”
“So...you’re not the father?” she asked.
He shook his head.
Cynthia looked at the babies then began to cry. “Like what am I going to do? How am I going to take care of two god babies by myself?”
“Cynthia, Loki may not be my blood-brother but he is still family. And I consider your sons to b my nephews. And Odin himself will consider them his grandchildren. You will not be alone through this.”
Angela walked up to Thor.
“Innocent or guilty, I was still paid to bring you in. I trust you will come quietly now,” she said.
“Of course. But we will not be going to Asgard alone,” Thor said.
Less than an hour found everyone in the throne room of Asgard.
Odin and his wife Frigg sat on their thrones, looking down at the still bound (and defeated) Loki with severe disappointment.
Thor and Angela stood next to him, Angela had her sword pointed at his throat, watching him for any mischief. Cynthia stood next to Thor, still holding her newborns. The Champions were behind them, looking around in amazement. When Thor had called for Heimdall to bring them to Asgard he included the Champions so they could be rewarded for their service to Asgard and the house of Odin.
“Loki, many times I have felt such shame at your actions. But this goes beyond anything I can speak,” Odin said.
Loki said nothing. He merely glared angrily at the floor.
“Have you nothing to say?” Frigg asked.
“No I don’t,” Loki said.
“You almost cost the life of this mortal, the mother of your children!” Frigg said.
“Like yeah, you dick!” Cynthia said.
“Let us hope they turn out better than the rest of your spawn,” Frigg said.
Odin stood up and walked forward, carrying his spear.
“While discussing with the All-Mother as to the appropriate punishment we have decided you will do well by this maiden. Though I fear it will be doing a disservice to her, you must make amends to her honor which you so tarnished!”
“Your son tarnished her before I showed up All-Father!” Loki spat.
“Yeah, but at least he knows how to please a woman Mr. Three-Minute-Wonder!” Cynthia growled at him.
The hall was filled with thunderous laughter and Loki turned red with embarrassment.
“Perhaps instead of studying so hard in magic you should have studied women brother,” Thor said.
“Damn you!” Loki growled.
“Enough!” Odin said, his voice thundered in the hall.
Frigg stood next and stood by her husband.
“Loki for your crimes, which are fat too numerous to count. Your punishment will be...marriage.”
“Marriage?” Loki asked looking confused.
Frigg and Odin smiled.
“Yes, to Cynthia.”
Loki’s face filled with horror.
“Um, excuse me Mr. and Mrs God-People, but like I sooo don’t want him as a husband.”
“How about as a slave?” Frigg asked.
“Same thing really,” Odin said.
Frigg elbowed him on the rib.
Frigg held out her hand and revealed a pair of golden wedding bands.
“With these rings you will be wed. But it will not be Loki who will be your lord. But the other way around.”
Odin held his hand over Frigg’s hand and spoke with words of power old as winter.
“With these ring you will be wed. But Once put on your roles will be switched. Loki will be stripped of his power and status and turned mortal. And you Cynthia, his unwilling lover and mother of his children will be elevated to goddess of mischief. And so long as you two are wed Loki must obey you in all things.”
“No!” Loki yelled. “You can’t do this to me!”
Angela hit the back of his head with the flat end of her sword.
“Cynthia the choice is yours. You are the victim here and this is the best I know how to make amends to you,” Odin said.
Cynthia thought for a moment. “Well the idea of having a man-slave and being a goddess sounds like so cool….but I don’t like the idea of being married to him. I mean serious, three minutes.”
“Oh don’t worry dear, he would be your husband in name only. Legally speaking his your thrall. That means you may take other lovers to your bed,” Frigg said.
“Then sign me up!” she said. She looked over at Thor and winked. “Maybe Thor would be happy to be the man where Loki can’t.”
“Listen you harlot there is no way in the icy cold depths of Hel am I going to let a twit like you-”
“Thor,” Odin spoke.
Thor grabbed the back of his brother’s neck and dragged him to the king and queen. Cynthia and Angela followed.
“Don’t worry brother, being mortal isn’t so bad. Trust me, you will get used to it,” Thor said with a shit eating grin.
“You can’t force me into this damn you!”
“Watch me!”
He grabbed Loki’s hand and held it up. Odin placed one ring on his finger and Frigg placed the other ring on Cynthia’s finger.
The moment both rings were on Loki began to glow with a green light. Slowly it began to fade and Cynthia began to shine with an emerald glow.
“NOOOO!” he cried out.
“Oh wow like...I’m a goddess now!” Cynthia said happily.
“Can you freaking believe it,” Jacob said.
“She really lucked out,” Wayne said.
“Like thank you all so much. But we’re still going to have to have a catholic wedding. I hope that won’t be an issue,” Cynthia said.
“Of course not. A double wedding sounds like fun,” Frigg said.
“But first let us celebrate Loki’s wedding to the mortal-now turned goddess-Cynthia!” Odin said.
“And the birth of these two adorable babies,” Frigg said looking at the newborns with loving eyes.
“Aye, I look forward to raising my nephews to be proper men of Asgard!” Thor said with a hearty laugh.
“This can’t be happening, this can’t be happening!” Loki mumbled looking traumatized.
“Oh you better believe it is like happening mister!” Cynthia said.
“Stop saying ‘like’ all the time!”
“Excuse me? I am your wife, not your slave. First thing you’re going to do buddy is like get a real job, none of this trying to conquer the world shit. Because like that is so not working out for you. You’re going to help me raise our boys in a proper environment. Oh and we so need to work on your wardrobe. You need some more color. And you better hope there is Viagra around here because I am going to teach you how to please a woman right, because I am not doing all the work.”
“Kill me! Just kill me!” Loki begged.
“Oh calm down Loki, marriage is not that bad. Who knows maybe Cynthia can make you into an upstanding citizen,” Thor said.
“Let the celebration begin!” Odin said.
“To the ballroom!” Volstagg yelled.
A couple of guards dragged Loki away. Cynthia followed still telling him all the things he was expected to learn.
“Champions approach,” Odin said.
The Champions stepped forward.
“All Asgard owes you a debit. Had it not been for you a grave error would have been made.” Odin placed a hand on Thor’s shoulder.
“My son, I hope you can forgive me for my actions. I did what I did for the good of Asgard.”
“No father, it was my foolishness that gave Loki the opportunity to implement his foul plan.”
“Not surprising, you are your father’s son after all,” Frigg said giving her husband an icy look.
“We were glad to help sir,” Michael said.
“Still, should the day ever come when you need assistance, call for me, and I will be there,” Thor said shaking Michael’s hand.
“Are we now BFF’s with Thor?” Wayne asked.
“I think we are,” Devin said giddily.
“Actually sir, I do have one request to make,” Michael said.
“Name it and if it within my power I will grant it,” Odin said.
“I wonder...could you maybe make a protection charm?”
Fusedtwilight: I wonder who the charm could be for? Find out next chapter.
