Disclaimer: I do not own X-Men Evolution, or any of the characters from it. I make no money from from the writing of this story. |
Summary: Darkfic. The brotherhood has had
enough of being humiliated by the X-Men. What happens when they finally defeat
them?
Note: Yeah, most of the characters are fairly off,
but this is fanfiction, and darker than I’ve done before.
Note: In this fic, Rogue never left the
Brotherhood, Tabby never joined, Pietro didn’t betray them, and Wanda isn’t
around. I am messing with the timelines a bit, so this starts just after the fight
during the conference in ‘Mainstream’, but the Brotherhood won and Mystique
escaped Area 51 shortly after the X-Men left.

To the Victor…
Chapter Two
Kitty had no idea how long she had been lying there, after
finally crying herself to sleep, but by the sun creeping through the closed
window, it was sometime in the morning. Looking around, she started as the door
opened and Lance returned, bearing a tray of food and a bag of something.
Barely stopping herself from flinching away when Lance sat
down across from her, Kitty sat up and accepted the plate. The food was simple;
a sandwich and a glass of water, but at least it was food. Kitty gulped it down
in record time, and then looked back up at Lance, who pointed at the bag. “I
got you some clothes, Pretty Kitty. I prefer what you’re wearing now, of
course, but I don’t want the others staring at you.”
Kitty bit back a less than polite answer to that and forced
herself to thank him. She didn’t want the rest of the Brotherhood staring at
her either. Lance obviously guessed what she had stopped herself from saying,
and stood up. “Get dressed. Boss Lady said that she’d call with an update and
possibly some info on what is happening with the rest of the X-Geeks. We’re
taking shifts.”
Kitty waited for Lance to leave while she changed. Lance
made no move to do so, only raising an eyebrow. While still feeling sore, Kitty
took the hint, and managed to dress in record time and follow him downstairs.
He obviously didn’t want to wait, and she didn’t want to be dragged down in her
birthday suit.
Joining Lance and following him to the kitchen, Kitty jumped
slightly at the muffled thumps and other noises coming from behind another shut
door. She resolved to try not to do that in the future; this outfit didn’t need
help to reveal more than it already did. Lance only rolled his eyes in the
room’s general direction, muttering something about Maximoff Charm being
obviously not so effective.
Kitty managed to catch a few glimpses of the rest of the
Boarding House as Lance pulled her toward the Kitchen. They had just passed a
sitting room when what Kitty saw made her freeze. There was Rhane, in just her
underwear, cleaning under Toad’s watchful eye, though Kitty doubted he would
have noticed if Rhane had scratched a hole in the wall, for all the attention
he was paying to the actual housework.
A hard tug on her wrist unfroze her, and she hurried after
Lance. She nearly tripped over her feet when they passed the Rec. Room, seeing
strong, proud Jean on her knees in front of Blob, hands and lips wrapped around
his enormous cock while he groped her naked breasts. For Jean’s sake, Kitty
could only hope that Blob didn’t take it further.
By the time they reached the kitchen, Kitty was glad that
she was already cried out. Lance was obviously not pleased at having to sit
around and wait for Mystique to call, and she doubted that any response to
further tears would be a positive one.
She remained quiet while Lance sat down at the table near
the phone and pulled her onto his lap, absently tapping his fingers over her
abdomen in time to an unknown rhythm. At least Lance wouldn’t try to make her
do it on the kitchen table, would he?
Kitty finally broke the uncomfortable silence with a
tentative question. “What happened after the riot at the High School? Are any
of the others here aside from Rhane and Jean?”
To her mild surprise, Lance answered her. “Amara is around
somewhere. We didn’t have time to get any of the others before flatscan
reinforcements arrived.”
He must have noticed the surprise on her face, but obviously
felt no need to continue the explanation.
She felt Lance smirk against her hair as his hand moved up
to her breast. “Pity Wanda’s out trying to make sure that Magneto really is
dead. She would have really made things interesting. Not to mention how well
she and Rogue work together. Those two joining forces could make a natural
disaster back off and find somewhere else to happen.”
Considering the circumstances, Kitty couldn’t stop a small
shudder at Lance’s description of the two Goths, accurate as it was. Even
without Wanda’s powers of probability, Kitty was willing to bet that Lance’s
slight exaggeration might actually be possible. Wanda was just scary. It may
not have meant much that Pietro hid, ran or both whenever he saw his twin, but
if she wanted, Wanda could make half the school run in the opposite direction
with little more than a glare and a scowl. She had no idea how Rogue managed to
make the simple act of pulling off a glove look so threatening, even before
people knew about her powers of absorption, but she did, and the less said
about her Glare-Of-Death, the better. Kitty sometimes wondered if it wasn’t a
mutant power in and of itself. The two of them together… Kitty shuddered again.
The phone rang and Lance grabbed for it, nearly toppling
Kitty onto the floor in the process. Perhaps it was Mystique calling with
information on the others? It wasn’t. From what she could hear, and Lance’s response,
someone had been stupid enough to try a crank call. Idiot.
Kitty forced herself to relax and lean against Lance
slightly, settling herself in for a long wait.
Kitty dared another question. “What really happened last
night, Lance? Why couldn’t I use my powers?”
Lance let out a deep breath. “You remember the fight with
the Sentinels? Apparently the robots weren’t the only thing Trask was working
on. The collars suppress mutant powers, and don’t come off without a specific
code.”
Obviously growing bored with the conversation, Lance kissed
her again, not loosening his hold on her. Kitty wound up straddling his lap as
his arms came up again to wrap around her. The kiss deepened, and Kitty let out
a small whimper into Lance’s mouth as one hand dropped to her backside, then
around to stroke her thigh. Still slightly sore, Kitty flinched as he pressed a
bit too hard on one of her bruises from last night.
Lance didn’t notice, or if he did, he certainly didn’t care.
He continued to touch her, with no trace of gentleness, until Pietro came to
retrieve the cordless phone for his shift.
Then things changed. Apparently, Lance would make her do it on the kitchen table.
The mini-skirt was flipped up, her arms were pinned behind
her back, and Kitty was bent face down over the table.
Lance smirked as he held Kitty down with one arm, undoing
his jeans with the other. Kitty was struggling again, but she was still no
match for him without her powers.
He nudged her legs apart and forced his way inside her,
ignoring her cries. God, Kitty was so tight! He could really get used to this.
Holding her arms with one hand, Lance grabbed her hip with
the other, pulling all the way out of her before ramming back in as hard as he
could.
Kitty let out a strangled gasp, trying not to cry. First
last night, and now she was lying on a kitchen table with her ex-boyfriend
fucking her from behind. The pain from her previous rape flared up again as he
hit her bruises. “Please, Lance, Stop! You’re hurting me!”
Lance thrust into her again. “Does it look like I care,
Pretty Kitty? You’re nothing but a whore and a traitor to your own kind, trying
to let Flatscans rule us! Shut up and take it.”
Kitty tried not to whimper as his hand moved from her hip to
her hair, grabbing a handful and pulling her up, with her arms trapped between
their bodies. She knew her shoulders would be feeling the strain later.
Lance yanked her back against him, listening to her pant and
moan as he fucked her, her skin soft and silky beneath his rough hands. She was
trying to remain quiet, but it was hard as he swelled inside her, and then
exploded, pulling out and letting her collapse when her shaking legs would no
longer support her. “It’s as simple as this, Pretty Kitty; you and the others
are here for the brotherhood to use however we want. But, you have a choice.
You can serve me, personally, or you can be used collectively. I think Blob
wants someone after he finishes with Grey.”
Kitty paled dramatically. Lance was bad enough, she hadn’t
even thought about the rest of the Brotherhood! What if Toad decided he wanted
some action, or Blob got bored with Jean? Kitty managed to keep her eyes lowered
submissively as she pushed herself into a kneeling position. “What do you want
me to do, Lance?”
Lance smirked at her. “I’ll decide later.”
He glanced at the clock, noting that it would soon be his
turn with the phone again. Lance sat back down, Kitty still kneeling at his
feet, as Toad came in with the cordless and handed it to him without a word.
By the universal laws of irony, the frog-like mutant had
barely left the room before the phone rang, this time with Mystique on the
other end.
* * * * * *
A few hours earlier…
Rogue muttered darkly as she half-carried an unconscious
Nightcrawler through the dark streets. Like her mother couldn’t have
shape-shifted into a stronger form and taken care of her little foster-brother
while she chased down Mastermind. God knew she cared about what happened to
him, but he was heavy, Damnit!
Growing up with Mystique had been wonderful, and she loved
the Assassin, but she had always wanted a sibling. Rogue didn’t know if messing
with her brother’s memories was the right thing to do, but she still remembered
her first encounter with the X-Men, and she had to get Kurt away from them
before they turned on him just because of his bloodlines.
When Irene had sent her to Bayville to join her mother, a
few of the X-Men, especially Fearless Leader Scott, had tried reaching out to
her, offering a place with them. She never would have accepted, of course, but
it was the thought that counted. Even so, she had become almost-friends with
some of them. Right up until Grey read her mind and spilled the beans that she
was Mystique’s daughter. Then they couldn’t get away from her fast enough.
Rogue straightened when she caught sight of Mystique coming
out of the warehouse that they were staying in, an incredibly ugly little man
cowering meekly nearby.
The two women pulled Kurt inside and placed him on a stack
of crates. As Mastermind began to prepare for whatever, Rogue pulled her mother
aside.
Mystique looked at her daughter, wondering what was on her
mind. Rogue looked tense and worried. She carefully embraced the girl, mindful
of her skin. The last thing her daughter needed was to be accidentally shifting
all over the place, a slightly amusing side effect of absorbing Mystique.
Still, she felt that Rogue might need the assurance that Kurt would not replace
her in the woman’s heart. “This doesn’t really change anything, Rogue. I still
love you, and you will always be my daughter. Nothing will ever change that.”
Rogue returned her mother’s hug, relaxing slightly. She
would deny it until the world ended, but she had been worried. “Ah know, Mama.
Ah just remembered something that we should probably include. Kurt just started
dating a Normal girl before all this went down. Her
name’s Amanda Sefton. She already knew about Kurt being a mutant, but doesn’t
care. I actually think that she prefers him blue and fuzzy to the holo-watch.
Either way, she won’t abandon him, so Kurt suddenly not knowing her may raise questions.
We may want to leave his memories of her alone, or just modify them slightly to
make sure he won’t betray us for her. Maybe track her down too and make sure
the memories match. She is willing to defy her anti-mutant parents to be with
him, so maybe it wouldn’t hurt to have them together.”
Mystique gave an approving nod and stalked over to
Mastermind. She had hoped her son would have had better taste than to fall for
a human, but the only mutant girls around were Rogue, or Wanda, or one of
Xavier’s puppets. At least the girl made her son happy, and had nothing against
mutants.
Watching Mystique stalk over to the monkey-like man, Rogue
settled back and prepared to be bored. Seeing Mastermind flinch away from her
mother with a very apprehensive expression, Rogue decided to entertain herself
by trying to imagine just what Mystique had done to make him co-operate. Maybe
she and Wanda could use it if any of the Normals tried to start something when
they got back home.
Home. Gods, she hoped that the Brotherhood Boys hadn’t done
anything too stupid in her and Mystique’s absence. Leaving them alone and
unsupervised, without clear instructions on what they could and couldn’t do,
was almost never a good thing.
* * * * * *
Kurt’s sleeping mind was a jumble.
He saw himself growing
up with his adoptive parents in Germany, playing with other children in the Circus.
His father teaching him the constellations and the stories behind them. He saw
himself being accepted, regardless of appearance.
…But that wasn’t right! The images shifted…
His adoptive parents
had stolen him. His real mother, Mystique, had searched for him for years with
his sister Rogue, until they found him and rescued him. The rare smiles that
few people ever saw from them. Nights spent lying on a blanket, watching the
stars.
He watched himself and
Rogue try to fit in, to avoid making trouble. He saw Rogue crying after being
called a freak when she was at the age when other people’s opinions mattered
too much, then becoming angry and closed-off, while he suffered rejection and
discrimination for his appearance.
More images came, filtering in like sunlight through a
forest canopy…
Joking with the X-Men.
Fighting by their side. Meeting a girl who didn’t care what he looked like and
wanted to be with him anyway. Kissing. Walks in the moonlight. Trying to
convince her that he should leave his image inducer on, hiding his true
appearance. Holding her hand as Jean tried to convince the school that mutants
were not a threat. Visualizing her face as a reason to fight when the
Brotherhood started to shake the meeting up
…But that was wrong, too! The memories changed…
Joining the
Brotherhood. Jokes with Lance about how it should be the Sisterhood, since
Rogue, Wanda and his mother were the scarier people in residence. Meeting a
girl who loved him and who he loved, even though she was Normal. Happiness at having her agree with him
when he refused to leave his inducer on, proud of who and what he was. Seeing
her being dragged away by her Normal parents
at the School Meeting. A glimpse of her terrified face, then losing sight of
her when the fighting broke out.
The memories stopped, and he began to wake up.
* * * * * *
Mystique watched her son begin to stir and turned to glare
at Mastermind, who flinched. “Go back to Bayville and find the girl Amanda
Sefton. Adjust her memories to match Kurt’s as far as their relationship and
Rogue and I are concerned, and plant a few seeds of doubt and mistrust
concerning her parents.”
Mastermind looked ready to object. The glare intensified.
“GO! NOW!” He scurried away.
Rogue came up next to her mother and they both turned back
to Kurt, whose eyes had just started to open.
* * * * * *
Kurt blinked, opening his eyes to see his family looking
down at him in concern.
Rogue’s face relaxed into one of her rare smiles as she held
out a gloved hand to help him up.
Kurt took his sister’s hand and scrambled to his feet,
looking around and seeing that they were alone. “Muzzer? Vhere is everyone?”
Mystique laid a hand on his shoulder. “The rest of the Brotherhood
is back in Bayville. We are on our way back to join them. Do you feel up to
travelling yet?”
Kurt nodded and they left the warehouse. “Vhat about Amanda?
Is she all right? I saw her getting dragged off by her Normal
parents.”
Rogue and Mystique exchanged a look. Rogue took his hand in
her gloved one as they continued walking, moving slightly away from Mystique as
she took out her cell phone to call the Brotherhood. “We aren’t sure, fuzzball.
None of us had the chance to look for her yet. Mama promised to take care of it
once we get back home, though, so don’t worry too much.”
Kurt nodded as their mother came back over to them. “Kurt,
do you think you can teleport us back to Bayville, or at least closer? The
Brotherhood has apparently come up with something. Rogue, will you take care of
it while Kurt and I check on Amanda? I’ll fill you in on the details once we
are back in Bayville.”
Rogue nodded and held her brother’s hand tighter as he held
onto Mystique and the three of them disappeared with a puff of smoke and a loud
bamf.
* * * * * *
It took four more bamfs, with a five minute rest
period between each, teleporting three people at one time was hard, to get back to Bayville, eventually
landing about a mile away from the school. Kurt regained his bearings a bit
(Note for the future: After being knocked unconscious, wait thirty minutes
before teleporting.) as his mother and sister whispered quietly a short
distance away.
Mystique had watched her children together while she called
the Brotherhood. She knew how much Rogue had wanted a sibling, and she had
wanted her son back for years. Rogue had been given the details of the new
memories that Mastermind had planted, and while Mystique had seen that she had
some reservations, she knew that Rogue would not openly object. She was glad of
that, because she did not want to gain one child just to lose the other.
Mystique had given birth to Kurt, a love and a bond that only another mother could
understand, and rejoiced at this chance to get him back. She had raised Rogue
since she was four, and while there had been a few initial mishaps with her
powers, like Summers’ personality temporarily taking over to rescue Jean
shortly after Fred’s arrival, there was nothing that could rid Mystique’s love
for her daughter. Pushing these thoughts aside for a moment, she filled her
daughter in on what Lance had passed on to her.
Rogue muttered something less than complimentary about boys and
their hormones and knowing that leaving them to their own devices was a bad
idea. Even so, she set off for the Boarding House as Mystique waited for Kurt
and headed toward the Sefton residence, Mystique shape-shifting into a bird as
they did so.
* * * * * *
As she approached the Boarding House, Rogue heard a muffled
curse in a distinctly Brazilian accent. Looks like that South American girl
Pietro had his eye on was in there. Rogue rolled her eyes. These boys were so
much more trouble than they were help.
She supposed it could have been worse, though. That Kitty
girl was occasionally tolerable, even if she did have an annoying tendency
toward being a Valley Girl, and had been one of those who had tried to become
Rogue’s friend. As long as she toned down the ‘Like’ and ‘Totally’ in Rogue’s
presence, and stayed out of her way in general, there wouldn’t be much of a
problem.
Rogue and Jean had hit it off badly from day one. Rogue
didn’t know if it was jealousy from the amount of effort Scott made to reach
out to her (He actually wasn’t too bad for an X-Geek, if you got him away from
the others and convinced him to lose the ‘Team Leader’ attitude.) or if Jean
was just a snobby Miss Perfect with a way too high opinion of herself. Either
way, she thought that the red-haired prep could use being taken down a peg or
six. Especially after the way Jean had invaded her privacy to read her mind and
turn the others away from Rogue.
The other two girls she didn’t know well enough to form an
opinion, but if there was one thing she had learned about life, it was that
people would jump to take advantage of you. If you weren’t strong enough to
take care of yourself, you had to deal with the bad things that happened as a
result. She would wait and see if either of them had the fire and potential to
be taken under her and Wanda’s wings. They could always use more girls around.
Shaking her head, Rogue slammed the door open. Really, noise
was the only way to get the boys’ attention. Entering the house, Rogue found
everyone in the living room. She looked around the room, upraising the
situation. Kitty was sitting with Lance, looking slightly nervous. She was
obviously (and understandably) scared, but trying not to show it. Not too much
trouble there, maybe they had worked something out. Jean and the little Scots
girl with the weird name, Rain or something, were standing in a corner, guarded
by Blob and Toad, looking murderous. Rogue decided not to ask what Rain was
doing wearing a French Maid outfit; it didn’t bode well for whoever had put her
in it. Potential, she would have to throw a small bone and see how the girl
reacted. Maybe tell the boys to leave her alone until she could see if the girl
was worth keeping. Amara was glaring at Pietro, who was keeping a sharp eye on
her. Rogue let out a quiet sigh. Oh Gawd.
It was better than she had expected, but still a pain to
sort out. It was probably too late in most cases, but she would have to limit
what the boys did to the captives until Mystique returned with Kurt and Rogue
decided if Rahne was worth the effort. No sense in complicating things further,
but she guessed that the boys would risk her wrath if she declared all of them
completely off limits, and she wouldn’t be too upset if Grey was knocked around
a bit, as long as it didn’t involve a doctor or hospital.
She turned to head upstairs, reminding herself to keep up
the cold, hard exterior. “Whatever. Just keep them out of my way. Ah’m going to
go call Wanda and give her the update. Mama will be back with Kurt soon, so Ah
suggest you come up with something for her. Boys, Ah want a word with you.
Now.”
Smirking to herself at Jean’s outraged expression and the
boys’ collective wince, Rogue led the way to another room. She waited until
they had taken seats, then started.
“You already know that Mystique and Ah took Kurt off after
the fight at School. We found a mutant by the name of Mastermind and had him
re-arrange Kurt’s memories. You don’t need the details, but Kurt now thinks
that he has always been part of the Brotherhood.” She fixed them with her
deadliest glare, silencing any protests. “You are not to try and change this.
Kurt can be a valuable addition to us and Mystique and Ah don’t need you
messing that up. Understood?”
Toad looked ready to protest, but refrained. If it was just
Rogue talking, he might have complained, given the first meeting between him
and Kurt, but he wasn’t stupid enough to go up against Rogue and Boss Lady.
Toad may not have been the smartest kid on the block, but you had to be about
as intelligent as Duncan Mathews to do that, and frankly, he was sick of
getting his butt kicked by the X-Geeks. One less of them was one less to gang
up on him. “We got it, Rogue. Anything else you want us to do?”
Rogue pinned him with a death glare. “Yes. Ah have an idea
about the wolf-girl. Leave her alone until Ah say otherwise. Also, until
Mystique gets back, stick to touching and oral. Blob, we don’t want to deal
with medical problems, so that goes for you especially.”
She dismissed them and started to head upstairs. Half way
up, she stopped and turned back. “And keep it down! Ah want to sleep tonahght,
and you won’t like it if Ah get woken up!”
Retreating to her room and shutting the door, Rogue picked
up the phone and started to call Wanda. She heard footsteps on the stairs, and
Lance’s door shutting. Well, at least that was one less problem for her to deal
with. Being Mama’s Little Girl was not all fun and games. After the phone call,
she would have to find a way to make sure that the wolf-girl knew that she had
imposed restrictions. Sitting on the bed and dialling Wanda’s number, thinking
of how to describe all this, she wondered how things were going with Kurt and
Mystique.
* * * * * *
Outside Amanda’s house, Kurt and Mystique were listening in
on a raging argument between Amanda and her parents. Mr and Mrs Sefton were
obviously trying to stop Amanda from seeing Kurt, calling him a blue freak,
while Amanda was vehemently refusing to do so. She didn’t care if Kurt was a
mutant, and she wasn’t about to let them keep her away from him. The Sefton’s
voices grew quieter, but from their faces, it was probable that they were
handing down an Ultimation. Amanda drew herself up, dark face a mask of fury as
she snapped a defiant reply, and stormed out of the house, slamming the door
behind her.
Kurt gave his mother an overjoyed look at her defence, a
question in his eyes, and received a nod of consent. She didn’t like that the
girl was a human, but the local mutant options were either the Boss’s daughter,
related to him, or one of the X-Men.
Besides, like Rogue said, Amanda made her son happy, and
they could use her if they needed someone to mingle with the humans.
Taking care not to be seen, Kurt quietly made his way up
behind his girlfriend, grabbing her and pulling her out of sight. Narrowly
dodging an elbow to the gut, Kurt let her go, whispering, “Amanda, Vait! It’s
me, Kurt!”
Amanda spun around at the sound of his voice, throwing
herself into his arms. “Oh, Kurt, I was so worried! When I lost sight of you…”
she took a deep breath, “I didn’t know what happened. If you were all right, or
if the other Humans had captured you, or…”
Kurt hushed her. “I’m fine, liebe. I vas hurt, but Muzzer and Rogue got me out. Are you all
right? I saw your parents dragging you off. How are zey taking it?”
Amanda winced. “I wasn’t hurt, and not very well. They said
that either I stop seeing you and never go near mutants ever again, or I stop
being their daughter. I don’t know what to do, Kurt! I don’t have anywhere else
to go, but I don’t want to lose you!” She hesitated for a moment. “Can I… is
there any way I could stay with you for a while, just until I can work everything
out? I won’t go against you and other mutants just because they want me to, and
if they can’t love me in spite of that then I don’t know if they really loved
me in the first place.”
Kurt smiled at her as Mystique approached, trying to
suppress his hormones. Now was not the time to try for sex. “Of course. The
Boarding House is a bit of a mess, though. Is zere anything you need from here
in the immediate future?” Amanda shook her head, burying her face in the soft
fur of his shoulder. “Then let’s go home.”
Grabbing Mystique’s hand, the three of them vanished in a
puff of smoke and the smell of sulphur.
* * * * * *
They appeared in the front hall of the Brotherhood house,
and Kurt led Amanda up to his room, which Mystique had made sure to prepare
before the school Board Meeting. They passed by a smirking Rogue, who was
coming downstairs to return the phone. She gave them a nod, and then marched
off to bring a few blankets to the captives. She didn’t want to deal with it if
they caught a cold; sick mutants were no good to anyone.
Leaving her children to their own devices, Mystique headed
for her own room, praying that the rest of her household would at least keep
the noise level down. She heard Rogue’s orders to the rest of the house, and
Wanda’s return, followed by hushed voices from Rogue’s room.
Hearing a soft stream of German from her son’s room,
thankfully none of it sexually inclined, and muffled noises and a feminine shriek
from Lance’s, Mystique sighed. She would deal with them, and what to do about
the captives and her son’s girlfriend, in the morning.

Ok, this was more of a
filler one. Don’t worry; there will be action in the next.
I am going to America for Christmas, so don’t expect another
update till around the New Year.
