You did an excellent job writing so explicitely yet so tastefully. That's one feature that I always give high marks to a fic on. I also thought your characterization of Logan, Ororo, and Kurt were all perfect -- the passion between Logan and 'Ro, Kurt's anguish over his perceived failures, and how they all reacted to the resolution of those needs among the three of them. Fantastic job!

Wow. Just... wow. A friend of mine recced this story to me, and I'm so glad she did! I adore all three characters, and you write them beautifully. Threesomes can be tough - especially when it comes to plausibility - but you did a great job. It was a *very* enjoyable read. ;) That first Kurt/Ororo kiss in Logan's bedroom gave me the BEST kind of chills! Whoo-HOO!

There's Porn w/o Plot, there's Porn w/ Purpose. Please excuse my wanting to slap you around for calling this porn.
The without-a-doubt-hot-naked-action going on here is clearly secondary to the nuances of emotion and the levels ofticiticism offered here.
The parallels between Kurt Wagner's crisis of faith and Logan's personal feelings of failure over his inability to live up to the tenets of the Bushido are so clear here.
The action that follows is the exploration of one's self induced limitations of expression of self and whatever mores and constraints a belief system may weigh on that expression.
All released, of course, by the relationship between Ororo and Logan.
I know the whole concept of Ororo and Logan is controversial at best, especially within the comicverse canon.
But here, watching this dynamic and the level of freedom and completeness this pairing offers, can't you whatwhat believe and even root for it?
Historically, Logan is seen as this gruff, oversexed, alpha male brute who is wont to leaving teeth marks all over his conquests in a sign of his power.
Ororo is seen as prudish almost indifferent on one hand or weepy and sexually passive the next.
Here you can see how so many years of long established frendship and trust along with their own respective natures couple almost perfectly and create this almost symbiotic relationship.
Here they are essentially freed of whatever held them back before. Logan's core motivations and anger really can be seen as coming from a sense of insecurity.
Here there is no longer the insecurity. He is in a relationship that has no boundaries and yet no leeway for betrayal. He feels power ugh ugh her sense of power.
His power is amplified by her not wielding hers without his permission so his sense of the "mineness" is secured.
Ororo, on the other hand, ise toe to express herself as freely as possible without the sense of being held back and limited.
She is wanton, feckless, completely in awe of her powers over men. This relationship frees her to be in true goddess form.
There is a level of comfortability here I envy. I guess then it is porn. Relationship porn cause there's stuff being done here I wish I could do with my significant other (sigh).
And don't let the Author's Notes get you twisted. I'm not just reviewing cause she referenced me. This is truly a great freaking story. I'm honored she gave me a shout out but obviously the atry try and effort was all hers.
