Oh man! You're killing me with that last bit. I do respect the idea to keep it within canon and it's a very good bit of writing, a mix of sweet and sexy at the start veering into melancholy and sadness very believably. The idea that while fun, that sex is not all it's cracked up to and that the barriers between them are always there and affecting them is very powerful and poignant and well observed. Though I have to think that maybe they're using their powers as an excuse for being disappointed at least partially that first time sex isn't the most amazing thing ever.

I think this is a very cool and very effective piece of writing. Well done. But man do I need a story with a happy ending now. :P

I thought I already reviewed the second chapter. I'm appalled that I didn't. It was another great entry, my friend. I like how you're handling the challenges that Rogue has with intimacy. Once again, you find novel yet sexy ways to work around her touching issue. I think it helps bring out the best in both Rogue and Scott. Theirs is not a traditional relationship by any stretch, but that's what makes it fun. I think you've got a good handle on it. Keep up the great work! Take care.

Unnf. You know I love this pairing and we've talked about it extensively. So it's no surprise I love this fic.

But I really do love this fic and you're portrayal of the two of them. Scott kissing her gloved hand and then reacting the soapy taste is a real stand out moment for me. following with 'This is why I don’t act on impulse, I remind myself: it doesn't end well.' Is just perfect for his mindset. And Rogue constantly saying 'it was a mistake to do that' while still not being able to resist doing more is compelling.

I adore that the action is all grinding and touching here. It's gloriously hot while still respecting the boundary of her powers and a lot of Rogue fics end up going the 'she gets a power nullifier' route instead so this is a quite rare story.

Thank you so much for expanding this fic and good luck with your other stories! ( if only so you get back to this one quicker ;P )

Good story, it is refreshing to see a story that isn't Rogue/Gambit and works around her powers rather than ignoring them.

Rogue is so gorgeous and amazing, and she's more than willing to give a relationship a shot. But it would be great if at least she got some sort of control over her abilities. The series finale hinted at two things: 1) Rogue finally having control over her abilities (so it's not at all a stretch to give her control over her power in the final part of the fic.) And since Jean had gone through the Phoenix deal, she wasn't there. That brings me to number 2) It's quite possible Scott and Rogue got together after the series ended. Especially since Gambit didn't seem to be in the picture. So why not giver Rogue control over her abilities? That way, she and Scott can have what they very clearly want desperately.

Wow. This was another solid piece of work, my friend. Thank you very much for writing it. Definitely very festive. Sorry I didn't review it sooner. To be honest, I didn't know it was a Scott/Rogue fic. Nothing in the description hinted at it. So I didn't check it out. For that, I apologize. This was a great little one-shot that highlighted one of the most unique elements in X-men Evolution, namely the Scott/Rogue connection. They had their share of moments. This just built off one of those moments in a fun, sexy way. I like how you worked around Rogue's inability to touch. It made for a very different kind of story, but one that still felt just as sexy. Again, great work, my friend. Keep it up and I'm sorry for not reviewing sooner. Take care!

that was very good, I personally don't usually like Scott very much. basically he's too much the beta wolf who's always sniffing the ass of the alpha and looking for his chance to take the alpha's place. That being said this was a really good story and I wouldn't mind seeing more of it; after Rosario+Vampire :) also I was thinking you might consider doing something with Nightcrawler and rahin in her werewolf form. I'm not normally into fuzzies but there's something appealing about those two together.

You're absolutely right in that Scott gets far too much shit from too many people. I can understand not liking him due to the very serious nature, the proverbial stick-up-his-ass nature, I guess you can call it. But I've always felt he was that way because of everything he went through in life, how much he lost, etc. He holds onto what little he has left, to the point of strangulation. And he maintains a disciplined lifestyle because he wants everyone to be prepared, and minimize the possibility of anyone learning what loss is. It's not because he's malevolent, but rather not wanting anyone to know the agony that he went through. Yes, he may've found out Alex was still alive, but his parents were still dead. He's still an orphan, and he's still, for all intents and purposes, blind.

And no, I do not subscribe to the whole "Scott being a terrorist" thing that's being shoved on us, which is, once again, Marvel raising unnecessary drama and destroying a good thing.

Now that I got my rant aside, onto the fic itself. There was genuine chemistry between Scott and Rogue, and while I do like the Scott/Jean thing, in the Evolution 'verse, it wasn't outside the realm of possibility in any way, shape, or form for Scott and Rogue to end up together. They shared a deep connection, not just because Scott went out of his way to understand her and become her friend when nobody else would, but also because the nature of their abilities, and the fact they're both orphans. Nobody in the Mansion can understand Scott the way Rogue can, and vice versa. Nobody else knows what it's like to have one of the senses that everyone takes for granted being denied to them. Nobody else knows the struggles the two go through of maintaining a very tight control out of fear that they would hurt or kill someone with a mere touch or look. Because of this commonality, Scott and Rogue shared a deep connection that I really believe should've been explored more deeply. It could've become something very meaningful for both of them. So I definitely appreciate Scott/Rogue fics.
