Reviews for Nothing Else Matters

That was sweet, sexy, and amazingly well written. I loved every minute of it. The way Lance and Pietro showed their friendship was so touching, and the affection shared between them was expressed in a perfectly masculine way, which was refreshing--I hate reading slash stories where the male characters are portrayed as being teary, simpering *women* sick and fainting with love for their big, strong boyfriends. That gets old really fast. This story, however, was realistic *and* beautiful. So much so that it quite inspired me. Thanks for sharing this awesome fic. I look forward to more in the future.
P.S. The way Pietro's insecurity (brought about by the damage inflicted by his father) was portrayed was quite a nice touch. It made sense to think that he would try to fill the void inside with love from other men besides his father, regardless of the form that love took. That's not something that strictly applies to females (contrary to popular belief). It was nice to see how it influenced his actions with Lance. Also, I liked the hints that Pietro did care for his father and was hurt by his death, despite all he'd done to him. Children can't help loving their parents, even when their lives have been destroyed because of them. I thought Pietro's reaction was genuine--angry, and trying desperately to hide his hurt because he couldn't understand why he cared in the first place. That was also well done on your part.

Whoo! I think I need a smoke after that one. Whew! That was a rush. That was wonderful. I was just swept away and you made me want that kiss so bad. You made me want it more than anything. OOOO! I was just FIXATED on the screen, just completely sucked in. I was GONE. I was so involved. It was FANTASTIC. I loved the fighting into the sex. You kept them so in character. Fabulous. There's that angry dynamic to their relationship that most people miss that you just grabbed onto! That rough chiding and the fighting. Oh the fight was hot. Everything was hot. And brava for coining one of the most hilarious and clever little phrases I've read in a fanfic for a long time, "Lance, the problem swallower." Because right before I read that I thought, "But did he spit or swallow?!" Brilliant. I wanted more. I still want more. Brava, lady. Bra-va. I bow to you. If I COULD favorite this, I would. My compliments to the chef.

That was really cool...I've always kind of thought of Lance as somehow being nurturing myself. Guess I'm not the only one. Plus it was just plain hot.
