this is a great world with lots of depth you've created. can't wait to see what's next.

BTW did you know S.H.E.I.L.D. did something similar to the Hound Program with Weapon X in the Ultimates series? It got shut down by Nick Fury.

Just as I was lamenting the lack of updates to great pieces of fanfiction, you add another chapter. Thank you. You've done a wonderful job bringing the lovebirds together, and what a lovely wedding scene. I love the little hints of what is going on inside other characters from Dion, especially that flash from Mystique. And wow, what an inspiring dance to their wedding gift. And the hint of atleast one (or two) weddings in the future, and the possibility of healing Illianya.
Dion's history is chilling, but definitely not unbelieveable in this Universe. How sad, but she was smart enough to figure out how to survive to the best of her abilities; no matter how grown up the decision has to be. No one can fault her with that. I was surprised to read she was only sixteen. So young and yet so old.
My Thoughts in response to Dion's concerns about Shield learning of her abilities.: I have to 'say' that I think Shield would have found some way to turn Dion's abilities to their benefit, mostly likely to treat the higher ranking, 'normal' people, maybe even the Red Skull, himself. If not that way, then I'm sure the lab would have 'played' with her for sometime to see what they could do with her powers and her body. It's possible they might have made her heal fellow 'patients,' only to damage them again. Shield might have even tried to breed some special form of the super soldier out of her. Putting her down would have been the most likely result, but what happened in the timebeing is another matter. The possiblities are endless. And as you can see from my ramblings, I've thought of a couple of them !).
Once again thank you for doing such a delightful job. I look forward to seeing the world in this Universe (on course to being) set to rights. And everyone having the chance that they deserve at a 'normal' life of loving others, having children, and living in a semblance, if nother else, of peace. Keep on working. I will wait patiently for the next chapter to the best of my abilities. (I'll reread Shadow and the Kat to help me wait !).

You updated. Yeaaaa. Thank you for another wonderful chapter. You got everyone back on the base and have started to give them hope for the future through the Captain and Dion. Dion feels alot like Meagan of Excalibur. Is she somewhat inspired by her? Oh, I liked the choice of Susan for her missiles in your AN. That was a good way to name her. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing the Red Skull and Shield get their just rewards, but even with that, the world will have a lot of healing to do. The Skull has been able to spread his poison for fifty years. People won't change overnight.

Wow. Your alternate universe is incredible and inspiring. I've had little plot bunnies of my own running arund with ideas of what could happen in this universe. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next, and what happens with /to who.

Oh, I love the way you've included the rest of the Marvel-verse. You have from the beginning but you've gone to a new level and it's great! Though I wonder if Janet Van Dyne and Hank Pym would have even met due to the same reasons Tony didn't become Ironman. On the other hand, maybe some things are meant to be, huh? I always liked the secondary characters like Jarvis and Wong. All in all, I really really love this story and this chapter in particular!

Great update! Yeah, I agree with you on Mystique and Cap complementing each other. He has a ways to go before he'll fit in with the times, huh? Love the idea of Dion. But I was surprised you're going to have Jermaine fight. From the earlier chapters and the previous story, she didn't seem the type.

yay! It's back! SHadow and the Kat is one of the best stories I've ever read and this is shapeing up to be just as good! I especially love how you've portrayed Cap most authors either make him so corny as to be almost inhuman but others act like his anachronism is just something he gets over quickly with a smile and nod. I think he and Raven might benefit from being locked in a room together for a few days or weeks. WHile I'm not sure what is involved in being a beta reader I would be happy to offer my services as a proof reader . Thank you for the great story. Otak

I'll repeat this at the end of the next chapter, but here's my response for now...

(Dizi Quote) I love the way Jimmy is going. The only thing that seems out of place is that he hasn't spoken to his mother or Margalii about Dion, they just seemed much closer than that. Kurt knew Jimmy saw her in his dreams and it just seems that he would have gone into more detail with at least his grandmother in hopes she would have a way to help him. Then again he's a man so that's as good an explanation as any for him to do the opposite of what sounds reasonable. I normally wouldn't go into this much detail but you did ask. (/Quote)

I adore detailed comments... really, I just thrive on reader responses!! /dances...

Anyway... He did check with Margali, and she couldn't help him. He never told his mother because a) Margali knew more, and b) he knew how much it would hurt Jimaine to know of his pain. It's in the bit when he's in the garden, halway between the beginning of the chapter, and when Piotr speaks to him. Thanks for reading!
